I agree. I have a set of active autowerke headers and the weld work is really good. Quality is essential, and the eBay headers probably need some modification to get fitted properly.

Hi, thank you for the informative video. I have a 2002 e46 330i, 205k kms. I use my car for joyrides, like to feel the power and the torque but never take it out on a track. Do you think a car this old would have all clogged cats and installing supersprint headers would make a big difference? I am all for originality and would only want to go for it if it would really be worth it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi ı have 05 bmw 330ci ı have cold air intake mishimoto and cat back exhaust If I wear it, headers will I gain more horse power?

Timing was perfect. I just for mine lmaooo, do you recommend wrapping them?

I wouldn't say it was 100% necessary, but keeping things a bit cooler under the bonnet (hood sorry, a bonnet is ladies hat - right!) Keeping the temps done is not going to hurt.

I buy all my parts online, alot cheaper than your local autoparts store, I shop from top aftermarket dealers and Amazon, had several bad experiences with eBay, things being broke, bent, used, not even receiving my packages, they let anyone sell on ebay and the risk is so much higher not to mention you will play hard to get your money back, Amazon I rarely have this problem and top quality parts, I lost 1 of my packages and Amazon quickly gave me my money back, just had to wait 3 to 5 business days for the money to get back transferred on my card but yeah, Amazon also has better deals, 😉 us e46 owners gotta look out for each other, especially how the younger generation is causing problems with the brand, I heard bmw might be in trouble due to a comment on thier new electric car, bmw decided to call out the younger generation from one of their comments and it just lit up and fueled everything, I even go to car shows and just the ill say type of driving I seen from these young people in e46's just..... ima say it makes me concerned for my car and my life when going to a car show anymore, just as bad as the typical mustang owner

@@Sixty4motorsport thanks man, keep up the great work, helps alot when working on mine, main problem I've been having is because mine is 85% German, most of my bolts, hex, torx, all of it is non metric, so makes getting tools a hassle

@@Sixty4motorsport LHD. my main concern is the alignment of the lower flanges to the rest of the exhaust, i could care less about the rear o2's as i will have them coded out with a tune

@@user-it4dq9dj9q Although my project is RHD, from what I have seen with the eBay headers the alignment of the lower flanges should not be an issue. I am pretty sure that Shop Life did a video about installing eBay headers. Perhaps check out his channel to find out how he overcame these issues on LHD models.

I have blackhorse racing headers on my 330i. I bought mine off eBay about 2 years ago, and I believe they also had them on Amazon. I think I paid 100 bucks for them. Didn’t have any sort of issues with the flanges lining up. In terms of the rear 02’s, as you mentioned, they will not fit, but coding them out is very simple.

Just bought my 2003 e46! It’s an automatic but I’m actually swapping it with a 5MT. The borla exhaust is starting to grow on me but I’m having trouble with what type of headers I need to install

Argh! Headers - Are you right hand drive? If so not a lot of options. If LHD there's a few to choose from so keep researching to find a set that matches your performance goals.

you're wrong, ebay headers are worth it! stock manifolds are rubbish, scrap the oem manifolds and break even on the exhaust work if needed!

@@Sixty4motorsport I didn't say, I used ebay headers. However, even if they don't exactly fit. It is usually a flange swap if you trade in your cats. Its a wash on the labor!

Yup they are basically just replicated supersprint headers without paying for the name but you might have to deal with some fitment issues for the rear bungs and just use oem gaskets They function the same as any other header

If anything people who put headers on their cars especially catless are looking for more sound than power, because the sound difference will be much more noticeable than the power difference.

Wrong the biggest power gains for M54 is headers these engines don’t respond to mods very well because they are well tuned stock but the headers are restrictive

I just want more sound 😂
