    Change your CVT fluid every 30k miles and your oil every 5k miles. The problem is that the previous owner probably doesn't do the CVT service. Hopefully they did and they have service records to prove it. Private seller with a good service record is key. Subscribed 6ft 5? Damn. I'm only 5ft 4 😂. I fit almost anywhere 😅

    Some advice. To get the best acceleration from a CVT equipped car, you do not drive them the same as a traditional transmission car. You do not smack it to the floor to get max acceleration you push down to the floor a little quicker than normal, and the CVT will spool up quicker than if you just take it quickly to the floor. Spooling up is the equivalent to the transmission shifting gears. Like I said smacking it to the floor actually gives you slower increase in your speed.

  • @CarDietrich

    @CarDietrich

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hard to answer that question strictly based on that information, but what I would recommend is checking the CarFax report to make sure there are no reported accidents or other issues, paying to have the car inspected by an independent mechanic to make sure there's nothing wrong with it, and comparing prices to similar vehicles in your area to make sure the one you're looking at is in line with market value

  • @ayoubo4880

    @ayoubo4880

    2 жыл бұрын

    Honestly, I wouldn’t buy a car that has that much miles on it even if right now is “good conditions”. It be better to purchase a car with less miles so you may get more out of it and still on “good conditions”. Heck those $6k-7k would be better as a down payment for a better car than the one you are considering right now. I do agree always have the car be inspected by a professional mechanic before making any purchase on a vehicle to give the ultimate o-Kay. Good luck ! And remember cars lose value not gain unlike houses so honestly a 2014 car with 92k miles is quite high price not worth it. Save your money and buy something else better that is worth it. Especially if you are trying to have a car for a long time.

    A 2019 Sentra could be a great used car to buy because that was the last year of the old body style, so all the kinks had been worked out by the time it was built. But every car is unique so make sure the car that you are looking at has a good service history and check out the Carfax to see if it has been in any accidents. If you can have it inspected by an independent mechanic that's a great thing to do as well, to make sure you're buying a good car.

    Omg pleaseee you guys, don’t buy this car. This is my first car and I wish someone talked me out of it. Have the same model/year color etc. Still owe money on it and I’ve had it for 3 years now and right after I hit 100k I started having acceleration issue, speed dropping as I drive and might have to replace the transmission because of it. I don’t even drive my car as much anymore because of it

    @@aaronyanez7349 no. After taking it a transmission shop and then not being able to figure out what was causing the issue they suggested I take it to a dealership, they said it was a TCM sensor or something like that. It was good for a week but then the same thing Happened again. Took it back and they said it was water in the taillight. ($330 to replace ONE taillight) after that was replaced. *knock on Wood* issue hasn’t Happened again

    Wait they said your tail light had water therefore is the cause of your car problems??How is that even possible? When it seems the issue is more relate under the hood. Shoot I be checking the throttle, replace if it is necessary heck relearn procedure to the throttle , check spark plugs, air intake boot for air leaks. Absolutely anything that makes your engine weak not get scam with condensation on your tail light. Get yourself a scanner and check it for yourself.

    @@ayoubo4880 it wasn’t just condensation, it was actual water. They said the water affected the electrical. But before I took it to Nissan I had took it a transmission shop and Goodyear and had a friend come over, he used his scanner but never got back a code at all. they couldn’t figure out the issue but since replacing the taillight with the water it hasn’t happened again

    The Subaru cvt is also built by Jatco. But the Sentra is by far about the worst compact out there. The Cruze is worse and so is the Focus

    You must either have a heavy foot or drive in super dense traffic. That or your sentra is just uniquely horrible. I'm getting a 2015 sentra tomorrow from a family friend and it gets 33mpg. The specs on a stock 2015 sentra are 30 city/40 highway. That's definitely not normal. My shitbox 09 dodge nitro gets 12 and it's a 3900lb car with more issues than anything I've ever seen on the road. Take your car to the mechanic that's not normal you're probably driving a safety hazard

    With the CVT transmission you need to change the CVT fluid and filter every 30K miles and then you will not have transmission problems
