I bought my PS4 Pro when the PS5 released, which meant I had a HUGE library of games to play (a lot of which were definitive editions), and at incredible prices, with all the bugs worked out (both system, and games). So, I just received my PS5 (Original BIG Model), and once again, I have a much larger library of games to pick from (GT7 (PSVR2), Shredders, Baldurs Gate 3, are all on my immediate buy list), and at a much lower price, overall. I think I made the right choice.

PS5 Pro expected to drop in November 2024, that's when I will buy the PS5, honestly, I'm buying the console for GTA 6, and also 2024 is predicted to be a big year for next-gen gaming

Me too, i have Xbox series s since june 2021, but i see that the PS5 despite being really expensive, it's way more powerful and has awesome exclusives, better than the Xbox exclusives imo. And i'm thinking buying a PS5 Pro in november if the rumor is confirmed by Sony. Also if the PS5 Pro is launched in november, just thinking that the console will go the Black Friday list, that would be amazing, but it's a dream anyway... What about the Xbox? I might just sell it (still really good condition btw 👍) or i could give to a friend who wants it. Can't wait to finally play Ghost of Tsushima on the PS5, using PS plus

As someone with a ps5, I wouldn’t bother, maybe I’m getting old but I hardly tell the difference coming from my ps4 plus I can’t find anything entertaining enough to keep me playing for more than an hour that doesn’t cost atleast £60-70, it’s exciting for a week then just feels like a ps4, it maybe my crippling depression talking but hey ho

Performance should be more steady, i will get one for tekken 8. I never got 'new' online games so i was always behind a version 😂 i want to play tekken 8 while the people are still playing, tekken 7 is a bit dead sadly.

You will enjoy it I reckon, tekken hurts my hand too much lol, the game I have been enjoying the most is Batman Arkham knight which is for ps4 😂

I've had a PS5, the controller was great and it's fast. But I wasn't as hyped as I was for the PS4. So I sold it, maybe if they bring out games that I like, I'll buy one. PS4, XB Series X, Switch is enough - backlog issues 😁

The PS5 is fantastic but the controller is probably the most annoying one I used so far. That and a few other issues made me Switch to Xbox Series X

Funny you feell the same way about the slim. There were 2 old phat ps5s left in my whole area i opted to get the old one instead the slim to, it was already taken out of inventory so i pulled the trigger while still possible

Depends on the types of games that you want to play. I would say that for streamers, a good gaming PC is a much better option.

Alert 🚨 please 🙏 assistance !!! I bought before four days a brand-new PlayStation five console as I did all the steps right when I did the update the problems began I got stuck on the safe mode with the eight options : Start, restart Restore etc. Everytime that I selected the option 4 : update , the procedure was finishing normal and after that the issue :The update file is corrupted SU- 101265-5 appeared. Every single time When I choose option 5 6 3 it kicks me out to the Main menu of the Smart TV with a warning : Check electrical power of the console . What is going on here guys

Don't waste money like I did with a PS5. Very few exclusives are worth the full price. A very expensive paper weight for sure

Sony is just saying we want more money 💸💸💰😂😂 with wanting to remove the OG ps5 and wanting to replace it with the ps5 slim and limiting what comes with it so you can buy more accessories for the ps 5 So better get the OG ps 5 fast and personally I like the design of the OG ps5 better than the ps5 slim 😋

i think the disc tray only requires wifi for registering when you first attach it to the console

Im mainly a PC player (Ryzen 5900x CPU with a RX 7900xt GPU) and I got my PS5 (Forbidden West Bundle) on Amazon because I wanted to play Returnal. Then months later Returnal got released on PC. Im not upset though because its honestly uncomfortable for me to game on a controller. I prefer Keyboard and mouse and the customization available on PC but im still glad I got the PS5. Even before I got into PC gaming Ive always preferred Playsation over XBOX.

Here's my take. The ps5 is worth the upgrade IF you want to get the entire set up. The controller is cool but now worth 70$, the portable version is 100% worth it if u have the money, and the load times save u a few minutes every session. Visually, it's not that much different. Game developers SUCK at using the full potential of the PS5, so you will not see a large difference when playing the same games. My friend let me borrow his ps5 and honestly, it didn't play any better visuals, just faster on the load times. It's just not worth upgrading unless you get a crazy good deal on a ps5. I'm not paying anymore than 350 for new console that doesn't have a stand or even a controller.

Depends on your screen. If you have a screen that can take advantage of the PS5's HDMi 2.1, 120Hz, VRR, full HDR 4k etc then there is a big improvement. PS4 Pro limited to 30HZ @ 4k HDR. If your monitor/TV is not HDMI 2.1 and can't do the higher frame rates at 4k HDR then you wont see a big difference.

Depends on your internet connection. I find the PS5, even over Wi-fi to be relatively fast. But of course this depends on the game. Some games are easily 80-90GBs and those will of course take much longer than a game that takes 40GB of storage.

I've lost interest in gaming. Nothing like the PS2/PS3 era.

While I do not like a lot things in todays gaming industry, in so called “modern gaming” I still find a lot of joy. Maybe if want exclusive games like ones for marvel studios. If they loss rights to their exclusives to Xbox due to rumors heard about Sony PlayStation division firing ton people. Is why I say this but if they don’t then yes unless got LG which mainly designed for Dolby gaming and streaming like Xbox series x system.

Lol, at 57 years old, I appreciate and love the PS5, Xbox series x era, it's just different. I mean c'mon, all people did in the PS2 -3 era is complain about how we need more powerful hardware, so nothing has changed except perfected graphics, frames per second, and overall performance of the ps5, and you have big games like Gran Turismo 7, Uncharted, Dirt 5, and many other games, so I'm not sure what people are always complaining about, Lol, people complain every generation, Lol 😂😂.

I bought a flute instead. 3 years later, i still feel as if I made the correct decision. I haven't seen one youtube video that has made me feel as if I'm missing out. It looks hideous, too. Both the Xbox and Xbox 360 made me want one, even though I had a playstation 1.

Returnal, Rift Apart, Spider Man 2, FF16, FF7 rebirth, Demon Souls, Directors cut for Tsushima and Death Stranding, LOU remake, as well as cross gen games that are still in the same ecosystem God of War and Horizon that have exclusive DLC for PS5. getting bored? I haven't had a console since the PS2 and DS, the only games I play are emulated 3DS games which is virtually unplayable on my $200 laptop but somehow runs skyrim and fallout 4 just fine. There you go, i'm getting a PS5 tmr, to play PS4, PS5 games AND cross platform games. No reason not to
