As someone with a PS4 pro i think it only makes sense to get the pro versions from now on because they always tend to have less problems than the original versions. PS5 was an expirement. But PS5 pro will be perfected to a higher level.

@mattias5945 but still was better than PS4. PS4 Pro is quieter and has better graphics that still very similar to PS5 which is why I've been waiting for PS5 Pro.

We are still getting screwed from COVID... I've had my PS5 for 9 months and still waiting on more AAA tittles BUT looks like SONY is full speed ahead. We NEED more AAA tittles NOT more consoles SMDH 🙄🙄🙄

​@@devoywilliams3956but you don't consider things like paying monthly to play online, controllers that break yearly, buying a LG C2 to discover only 10 games run at 120 frames per second, all their games are 30% more cost wise. And reoptimized games you have to buy again. All of that makes it cost more then PC upgrades and yet you can't Google, no applications, no mods, it's hardware you don't have the freedom to use

I got the PS5 to replace my OG PS4, which was still functional, but even after cleaning and replacing the cooling paste it still sounded like a jet engine. The PS5 is so quiet by comparison. I waited almost a full year after launch to even get a chance to buy one at retail, so I'll probably wait and see if it's worth getting after it gets reviewed.

Returnal is probably my favorite exclusive this generation so far as well!

I'm a PC gamer. The only reason I am considering getting a console is because there are sony exclusives that I don't want to wait 3-4 years for the PC port if it ever does get a port. I almost bought a PS5 slim until I heard the rumors about the pro. I will wait and buy the pro as soon as it comes out along with some of the games I have been wanting to play like spiderman 2, last of us 2 remastered, etc. Also, I expect >100 fps coming from PC world, so the PS5 Pro seems like it will fit the bill.

I upgraded from a PS4 to a PS4 Pro because the PS4 sounded like a jet engine by that point it was so full of dust, and my friend said the Pro had a big ass heatsink so it was much quieter. I'm primarily a PC gamer, but I broke down and bought the Unicorn Overlord PS5 Collector's Edition for that card game, so I guess I'll end up getting a PS5 Pro for that since Vanillaware hates PC.

This Pro talk and even the incoming PS6 news just doesn’t sit right with me, given what has transpired over the last few years. Which seems just like yesterday. Me personally, I believe Sony should’ve waited to release their console at least another year or so. Just to keep things fresh. I’m now thinking about going the PC route.

Same here I bought the Xbox Series X bc I knew it was arguably supposed to be the most powerful console of this generation and then I had pro Sony friends saying why you doing that. Honestly I didn't like the fact that ps5 wasn't even able to really be purchased at launch excluding a very select few lucky ppl. Now it's like xbox has just decided they want their games to be played by everyone which is awesome bc I don't like console wars but at the same time it's like we out here talking about the ps5 pro/ps6 while the ps5 and Xbox series x don't even have enough amazing games between them to even truly justify their existence yet. Because as other people have mentioned it would be different if the ps5 and xbox series x have been pushed to their max ability but it's hard to think they have been if games sometimes look like ps3 games. I know diminishing returns kick in after a certain point but in a lot of ways I believe us as games were fed a line of smoke when being told about the massive powers of both the series x and ps5 so in a lot of ways pc seems like the smarter play due to Sony moving that way and xbox already being heavily integrated into pc territory from the jump.

Funny enough i almost bought the ps5 yesterday then i heard ps5pro is coming out this year and im like ima gona wait

Nothing to really be mad about. Just get a standard regular p. S5 and it will play every game. This is Sony knowing that they have a loyal fanbase and wanting to take advantage of them.

With the ps5 pro the only thing that could make it better than the other two is to make it so the frame rates are higher and consistent as well as 4K resolution in games and they need to fix the Liquid Metal problem

Im just gonna stick with my ps5 until am actually forced to move to a new console i mean 120fps is more than enough and cod and apex is running that so I've no reason to get the pro

I literally got my ps5 for Christmas this past year.😂

I was holding out on PS5 to let them work the bugs out, then the pandemic shortage problems, then no games that made it worth switching from PS4, then I thought I would hold out for PS5 pro to get ready for gta 6, then ps+ went to $80 a years that's $400 in 5 years just to get online and maybe an occasional free game that's ok, then I started thinking about going to PC because there is so much I can't do on console plus I could upgrade hardware as needed ever 5 or more years, so I think I'm going to sit tight for a little bit to see what plays out.

My Xbox broke at the start of my summer break and I'm thinking of getting the PS5 pro

As a sim racer I will wait for the pro ,as frame rate makes a huge difference

My PS4 just broke down. I was fine with it even tho online was pretty dead. Now I’m struggling with my options. Fixing it for just over $100 would hold me over but not worth getting more games. It makes sense to finally upgrade. Gta6 wil be a big game for me. I’ll be gameless for months but I’ll save and upgrade to the max when I do upgrade. My tv is 16yrs old now too n it prob makes sense to upgrade it too as it’s an mid gen 1080p. They are so cheap now. This Black Friday I’m gonna actually participate. Get me a new tv for my pro ps5.

Seems a good idea, but I doubt the PS5 Pro will be cheaper, the other PS5 models are going to have some good discounts for sure at black friday! PS: I have a Good tv from 2010😅, no 4K but at least it can play PS2 titles, the retro adapters dont work very well in modern TVs, old games look horrible.

Your lack of how games are developed is mind boggling 🤣 we didn’t get 60fps on GTA V due to the engine it ran on and the coding to make it, it was much harder for the developers to make this work @ 60fps. This won’t be the case for GTA 6. It will be 120fps for sure, and smooth at that.

Ps5 or slim or pro without an appropriate monitor or tv with the 120mhz hdmi port is like have a Ferrari with no tyres.

Im still rocking the ps4 and currently don’t have the need for a ps5, ill wait for the pro version instead if it does come out

Ive never gotten a playstation in my life and recently I started being interested with getting one. I’m probably gonna buy the slim version and not wait for the pro because the slim version is already $700 cad with taxes and I can’t imagine myself having to spend $800 or even $900 on a console

I come from an era of gaming where only shooters like COD or CS were important to run at 60 fps or more. Who the h needs 60 fps on GTA6. If it does 30-40 it’ll be great fun and all you need for that type of gameplay

My question is will the plates for the original PS5 fit on the PS5 pro? I'm late but I still plan on getting that Spider-Man 2 PS5 console soon. 😂 Once I finally get a PS5 I'm going to slap an efficient 4tb SSD on it anyway. So at least I'll potentially be solid in the loading speed department in regards to GTA 6 or whatever else I play right? 🤔

There'll ALWAYS be a need for a "pro" version of any console. Reason being, a console can't be upgraded and secondly, pc graphics are the benchmark of gaming, so you're forever behind in fidelity and speed. It's a good ploy to release such a system midway of the console's lifecycle. It still remains true to the brand version and everything accessable on your pro can still be done on your normal one.

I wonder if the PRO will also turn up the PSVR2 graphics.

I'm waiting, either the pro will be a beast or it will disappoint and hopefully the slim drop the price

Think Sony got the name right. Think only professional gamers or really hardcore players will appreciate a few extra frame rates and such. I don't game half as much as I used to so I just recently got around to getting a 5. Got a slim disc version for $375. Idk if I could shell out $700+ for some minor upgrades but if you game a ton and have the $ I understand.

Only issue i personally had is that i wanted to get a full carbon fiber ps5 plates, but there is way less customization options found online for the slim edition… so if you like to customize your console, i’d say go for the regular ps5. If you don’t care abt that, then defo go for the slim. Its 10x better

I didn't even watch your video. But I appreciate the title very much. I just bought a new PS5 direct from Sony earlier this month, and then returned it, unopened in the box when I realized I had waited too late to get one. The Pro is about to come out. It was the same situation with my PS4 Pro. I waited so long that the Pro had come out, so why get the lesser model? Plus, I love my PS4 Pro and I can definitely wait for the 5 Pro.

The last system I got was PS3. I guess I can wait 8 more months.

I still have a ps4. My kids are all over me about getting a ps5. Im trying to be patient at this point and hold out for a PS5 Pro or for them to drop the price again of a PS5 slim.

I am still using PS4, cause almost everything is being released on it!

However Sony need to make more classic games for the vr2. Like call of duty, grand theft, need for speed etc. Finger tracking, and yaw2 chair simulation. Sony need to get these things.

I'm only buying a PS5 to play GTA 6 and maybe the other PS4 games I already have, like Spider-man/Miles Morales etc. But I honestly wait for Pro, cuz now we have the window release for GTA 6, Fall 2025. Idk if I make the right decision buying Pro, or to buy the Slim.

I have to disagree. Everything should be put back in the cycle, due to how hard it was to get a PS5 in the early days. It is only really the last year that PS5’s have been readily available. We have had a handful of PS5 releases, mostly we’ve been subjected to remasters of old games. To bring the Pro to run exclusives better is ridiculous when we haven’t had any! 😂 The Pro will be crazy expensive just to play GTA VI better. You said that only on the PS5 have we finally enjoyed GTA V at 60fps. So what is there to stop the PS5 running VI at 60fps? We are getting a new GTA, but personally I cannot see it being vastly different in terms of size or performance requirements. They will probably drip feed their updates, or lock them behind GTA+. They’ve been milking that GTA V cash cow for way too long and we deserve better than this. Customers put Sony on top last gen. And they have rewarded us by hitting us with a remaster gen and taking advantage of our custom. This is hands down the most disappointing gen in terms of console gaming. It promised much, but delivered little.
