$7000? Unglaublich! Buy a used one in good condition. T-Dubs are TANKS. I found a 2010 T-Dub for $3400 in like new condition a few years back, but now used ones are very scarce and sell almost immediately because of high demand up here in the north.

I am still riding a 1989 TW-200 bought it right off the Yamaha show room floor. Paid $3400.00 thru the local bank and was lucky to have paid it off early. I should have bought every one of them I found back before the 2020-2022 insanity that has happened . I have and will always keep riding my TW-200, I will pass it on to my son when the time comes and I hope he enjoys it as much as I have.

If the tank is dented, it's $600 dollars for a new one or you can go with a Clark for $250 (plus shipping), so factor that in. But other than that, forget about getting a used TW cheap. These things are pretty popular, and you'd literally have to set it on fire and then drown it in a lake to damage the engine. The main reason to buy used is you can avoid being wait listed, but you don't save a whole lot. The used market has seemed to inflate with new prices, which are up around 30% since covid and Bidenomics. The used market followed, such that folks who bought new in 2019-2020 can sell the bike used for all that they paid for it and sometimes more.

I'm the epitome of used bikes, or used anything. I'd rather buy used to save money. U don't always need to say you bought something new. Dumbest move I ever did as a kid was buying a car new. I'll never do that again. 36k miles is the way 2 go

Oh I agree. I don’t really regret it on the TDUB, but this bike isn’t exactly the regular. That said, this will probably be my last time purchasing new.

There are very few "good deal" used TW200's that I have seen in my area.( 500 mile radius) But a dealer not doing excessive "additional charges" is just as rare. I actually had to get on a waiting list but opted for the new at a reasonable dealer. I hope it works out! Good Vid!

I bought a barely used one last year, delivered to me by the seller from the state next to mine for a little bit more than I wanted to pay. I don't regret it at all. It was awesome of him to do that because I couldn't go anywhere until the weekend. I agree, the prices have gotten ridiculous for a 200cc that can't even get on major highways/freeways. I use the roads only to get to my off-road destinations anyway. Be patient but don't screw around too much. Because someone will definitely beat you to it.

Yep absolutely. That said, I don’t mind paying the money if something holds it’s value. You go buy a little Kawasaki or something else, you will lose money unless you get a killer deal. These things hold their value like crazy. Glad you’re enjoying it! If they’d make a 300, I’d be in heaven. Little more streetable able to run 60 mph lengthy periods without being so wound out would be great

I bought a used 2004 T-Dub several months ago. 2600 miles on it for 2500$ Runs good. I'm 62 and in western central Missouri.. Cow trails.. gravel roads and black tops.. it's absolutely perfect for what I do.. once I figure out how to get more comfortable seating.. I might just go to Alaska? Heck the T-Dub can travel around the world.

Awesome. I’m not far from you. I’m over around Cape Girardeau, mo. Yeah these machines are perfect for riding like that. The only reason you see any hate on these bikes is because people buy them expecting too much out of them or it’s not the right bike for their style of riding. I wanted a bomb proof trail machine

Where I live you can’t even find a used one, or a new one for that matter. What is the hold up on the new ones????? Why are there none around? They couldn’t possibly be selling thousands and thousands of them could they? I don’t get it. They must be selling well though. I called a local dealer and they just laughed and said if you want one come put your name on a list and 500 down. Maybe in a year he said. Not my way of doing business. Oh well.
