    Ginge - Maybe get yourself on Joey Ingram's pod? Good opportunity to grow the brand. As far as comedy goes, check out Limmy's Show/all Limmy content in general, and have a look at some old-school dark shit like Jam and Brasseye. Both are wild.

    Another great one Ginge - coaching site could be interesting. Right now I just play tourneys (rec intermediate) probably just under breakeven after 50k hands adj bb/100 is like 6. This said I really recognise the value in learning but and I do invest a certain percentage of my 'real world' job into Poker courses etc. For me a part of it would be the cost although if it were in my budget I'd give it a try - I think you'd knock it out of the park! Would be great if you could also include some tourney tips as well.

I’m sure me and tons of other members would love having you as a coach there at least! Also: your humble and transparent attitude would make for a brilliant coach imo. 👌

    yo ginge, mentioned this on a previous video and it relates to this one. Would you mind doing a video on how to set holdem manager to review stats/play. And also discuss how you go about reviewing a hand for mistakes or better lines to take. I would appreciate it and I feel like it would be a good video for your community!

    Great video! Around 14 min what is the idea behind jamming AQ there? Do you expect villain to ever call with worse? Would it make sense to keep whatever random bluffs he has in his range and just check call river? Like if he has 65spades or T8 or some random shit like that he might blast off, no?

  • @GingePoker

    @GingePoker

    4 жыл бұрын

    Depends how much equity I think his bluffs have. If I think his bluffs have reasonable equity it can be better to deny equity, if they are low equity and gonna blast off its better to call. Both strats are fine and should be based on your assumptions.

    Ginge, how do you approach textures where we incentivized to use a mixed strat.. Oftentimes players will "freestyle" these spots and apply anecdotal frequencies and use heuristics to select common combos and divide accordingly into each portion of their range... Yet often on say (J97 SB v BU 3b pot) a range bet would of garnered more EV and been infinitely more replicable than a convoluted mixed strat.. "Freestyling" a mixed strat OTF , our frequencies will quickly deviate far from NE and give up alot of EV. ofc most will nodelock a ton of spots and simplify for intuitive, replicable strats but I feel more boards are better suited to range bet/check than mixing and using polarized sizings on myriad of textures & positions... What's your thoughts ginge?

  • @GingePoker

    @GingePoker

    4 жыл бұрын

    I would add a layer on top of this and also point out that even if you mix perfectly, you have to nail turn and river decisions to generate the max ev from deviating, which is super hard for humans! So for sure simplifying is gonna be the best way to go imo.

  • @sharkyjawz1342

    @sharkyjawz1342

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@GingePoker yeah, too much emphasis is placed on perfect play OTF when more EV is at stake on later streets right, if we had a toy game where streets are infinite and we play till someone folds or gets the money in we'd see dampened aggression on earlier streets (aswell as lots of equity denial). My ethos is get to the river as "soundly & simply" as possible and then focus on correct play OTR. convoluting the gametree on flops for minimal EV gain is superfluous and all too common in study practices imo. Lately I've been looking at "mean" raise freq' associated w/ specific flop textures and positions and applying that "mean" frequency to appropriate combos for raise freq' and it seems to garner a decent share of "optimal" EV whilst being super simplified. It's nice to see someone playing for the love of the game and not shilling micro players for their roll to teach them basic concepts that are online for free. I like your ethos of "first principle" as well that definitely resonates w/ me.
