Don't be foolish. I've known people in their 80s that could, in a cognitive sense, run circles around most 20 year olds. Add the wisdom and experience of a long career, and that old person is a valuable resource. I agree that very few people in their 80s are fit to be president. But the rare gem that is capable, should not be dismissed.

Being able to talk is such a low bar. We're the laughing stock of the world. Also: when are we going to start calling this what it is... DEMENTIA? This isn't the normal effects of aging. He has every symptom: clumsiness, masklike face, lost look in his eyes, serious speech problems... all of which get worse late in the evening/night. The debate took place at 9 p.m. ET. The man is sundowning & there are no two ways about it. This is elder abuse & the fact that we're all dancing around it is disturbing.

Those are not symptoms of dementia but rather Parkinson’s disease. The falling over also fits with a diagnosis of PD. My husband died with this condition. He had all those symptoms.

That debate was truly heartbreaking for Biden supporters. 💔 One gaffe that really made me upset was that Biden claimed that no servicemembers have died under his command. The Republican Party nominates Trump, because MAGA exists with or against it. Certainly haters hate Trump, "Orange Man Bad", but that only enforces the established positions. Presumably many are only willing to vote Republican, because of Trump. There are no other candidates, as shown by DeSantis. The Democrats could replace Biden, because everyone can see his state, and support him mainly to oppose Trump. Rather desperately.

This will give the Democrats time to pick a replacement and convince the judge to jail Trump at the sentencing hearing. Whoever the Democrats nominate, they will run basically unopposed. The Republicans will be forced to pick an unlikeable candidate like Haley to replace Trump. Of course, the Democrat candidate will win in November. The death and destruction will continue in the Middle East and Ukraine, inflation will continue to rise, and the national debt will accelerate. The US is a failing empire and we should prepare accordingly. No politician can save us.

Isn't it time to enforce the 25th Amendment to America's Constitution? I saw a cartoon yesterday showing Joe Biden with his finger about to descend on the 'nuclear GO!' button, with him asking "Is this Room Service?" To me, that says it all. Surely Americans realise, no matter who they vote for, the dangers of an obvious lack of discernment, confusion and inability to think in a straight line, in any person holding the country's most vital and governing role?

This is an elderly man who has already been working for politics for over 50 years. That's longer than my lifetime. Biden needs to step down, he is sickly and you can tell, even he had to have help from Jill getting down those small steps.

My father struggled with dementia for years before he passed and I’m seeing the same behavior in Joe Biden that I saw in my dad when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. The shuffling walk, the halting, somewhat slurred speech, and just the overall struggle to get a point across. I’m no Biden fan but seeing someone exhibit these symptoms is very sad for me. We did not see a leader in Joe Biden. We saw a frail, and at times, confused old man. He’s not equipped to run a grocery store let alone the United States.

Jill should be charged with elder abuse. IMO. Joe is missing his basement. If you had ever seen a dementia patient get their toothbrush halfway to their mouth and freeze, not knowing what they are doing or what comes next. You would understand. 🥺

Jill is talking pretty loopy herself lately. She does not have the smarts and drive and power to pull something this massive off. I think it is the Obamas behind this whole thing. They exploited the Bidens for what they could, now they are done with them and throwing them to the wolves and getting the media to lockstep repeating the talking points word for word. This whole thing, in my skeptical mind, culminates with Michelle Obama trying to take Joes place on the ticket. Of course there is TONS of pushbacks internally. They are pretty clear they want Joe gone, but lots and lots of figthing about who gets to ride his coattails to Pennsylvania Avenue.
