In 2007, Ross Capicchioni, a Detroit native, endured a life-altering ordeal that tested the very limits of human resilience. At just 17, Ross faced a near-death experience in Detroit's notorious east side, an event that would profoundly shape his future. Despite his reservations, Ross was persuaded by a decade-long friend to drive to a secluded lot in this dangerous part of Detroit. It was there that this friend shockingly turned on him, shooting Ross in the arm, chest, and head, before abandoning him, presumed dead.
