Note- the recording/playback tab that i am talking about is in the control panel. Open control panel , then click on hardware and sound , then click on sound to see these two tabs in top... Or In the taskbar, if you see a speaker icon with cross ❌ sign on it, then right click on that icon , then click on "open sound settings" , then in the output / input section , click on Manage sound devices and check if any devices disabled, then enable it from there....
