Average sucks. I'm 5'9" and my life is all about being in constant invisibility around crowds. Never stand out for any physical traits since I'm literally at the pinnacle of average-ness. It's good when you look at it as an introvert's point of view.

@@isgaming1x993 it was Volleyball for me. and yea, some might say, "just be a Libero." but I wouldn't enjoy the sport if im constantly defending, and having people's backs, thats what ive been doing my whole life, i find joy in playing the aggressive positions, i wanted to be a Rightside hitter but what contributed to me hating the sport now, is my friends bringing my passion down, im always last pick for spiking practice if i ever get the chance, and everyone tells me why do i play the sport if i wanna be a spiker? thats only because im short. I'm not scary. That’s tall for a woman in Europe. A friend of mine, we live in the United States, is 5’11 and the national average is 5’4 so she’s really tall! At least I don’t have to keep looking up because I’m 6’1.

I love how optimistic his viewpoint is! I'm a girl, so obviously I haven't been "discriminated against" for being short as much as my short male peers have, but I remember always wishing I would grow taller, even a little after I was biologically bound to stop growing. I've been 5'3" since I was 12, and I'm almost 18 now, so I'm positive that I definitely won't get that "extra growth spurt" I wanted. At the same time, though, who really cares about all that? Hell, my boyfriend is barely an inch taller than me, and he is by far the greatest person I've ever known. Good things really do come in smaller packages, and I really hope that some of y'all will stop making fun of short folks eventually.

I’m 17 and 5’ 3”, never been bullied or teased much. Just dress well, take care of your body, have a good haircut, and some muscle. And DON’T buy clothes thinking you’ll grow into them “soon,” just get what actually fits you

I am 159cm or about 5’2.5 and to be honest, my height is never really an issue. My day to day life is almost never hindered by my short stature. Yes I do face the occasional problems were being taller would help a lot, but there is almost always ways to work around these problems. The only major problem I face as a short guy is women. The vast majority of women aren’t attracted to me because of my height and I totally get it, they can’t help what aspect of people they are or aren’t attracted to. I don’t really have any advice for finding a partner as a short dude, the only advice I can think of is, look harder. Now I am not trying to sugar coat shortness. Life is tuffer as a short guy, it's just the way it is. You just got to keep on pushing.

I can sympathize with Dominic a lot, the weird thing about society is that it just favors tall people over short ones for no reason. I remember that time when I was in Grade 7 and a relative visited my family and he said, "Hey! Are you in first grade yet?" Everyone tells me that I'm gonna get a growth spur, but my parents are very short, my dad is 170cm and my mom is 155cm. You get teased all the time about it, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, I mean, what else do you want to be teased about? It's like just a great topic. Plus, there's nothing bad about being treated like the entire class' son. Can you believe it, a person will get treated so differently just because they are a dozen centimeters shorter than the rest, if an alien heard this, they would be shocked.

I remember growing up i was always short i got picked on so much and i was forced to fight all the time in result. I got pretty decent at it and was called lots of weird names like racoons, ECT short aggressive animal. Lots of people use to think i was just angry and always trying to fight but when they got to know me they realized i was really nice. I drank milk obsessively for years until I found out that a) the bone strength thing is a myth, it doesn't make your bones stronger and b) it causes your skin to breakout

I love how he's explaining how being short is not a bad thing. I'm always made fun of because I was the short one in my family. People would call me shrimp, midget, short stack, etc😤. But being short works for me because I'm treated like I'm the favorite child in my friend group 😏 and everytime I'm sad they'll be by my side😢.
