I have a soft spot in my heart for the Aeromax. It was introduced when I drove for SYSCO, and we phased out those 2300 series with those junk L/10's for them. I got a new "Max with the M/11 for my assigned tractor in '92. I loved that truck. Ford had the better ideas, man.

Oh yeah James. I remember when Peterbilt Mike/Mike the Truck Nut first got Kenny started up and drove it out of it's grave. It was awesome!

Put er in gear and holder down till you hear glass break. I'm glad I never totally owned a truck. I drove for enough OPs it was like I owned it. Only benefit I can see owning a truck is being able to have the engine you want . The company I retired with took every new truck and turned the power down and using more fuel instead of 6.5 mpg to 4.5 mpg. Every job I had was usually overweight most of the time and not enough power to pull it. When I started in 1970 it was 318s, 290s 350 and 400 big cams. GOD wouldn't let me drive anything like a 600 because I stayed in trouble with points on my chauffeurs anyway. I did drive some Macks that pull good.

Didn’t expect it to run at all. Sounds good for having been froze solid enough to push the plugs out. Seems changing it out is gonna be a good option. I think you’ve got an engine in the shop that should fit. Too bad you couldn’t move the old girl. You’ll get it home eventually. Stay safe

So glad you’re starting on this one mate, been really looking forward to you doing this truck. Your truck collection is by far one of the most interesting on all KZread, not just a.n.other 389 , you treat us to marmons, cab overs, western stars , freight liners and now this one, quite possibly the hardest looking ford I’ve ever seen or heard about 😮👍 Of course we need you to pick up a Mack r series and an autocar and a Hayes and an Oshkosh m1070 as well please 😂👍 Would some of those dorman rubber core plugs with the squish bolt in em get it running enough to drive it home perhaps? Hi james nice to see 11 starting.motor may not be cracked since the frost plugs popped they are there to pop and let the pressure of the ice out.hope you can save the engine.always loved those fords aeromax trucks and we have 2 of them in ireland.yip just 2.ones a show truck the other is a drilling rig still working!!!! Keep up the great work.

Ya I think something got mad at the full throttle blast when it started after 15 years. Had the throttle the wrong way when we put the pump on. Whoops

It’s a 350. I might just roll in bearings and Chang oil pump and get the heads done. I’m worried the block is cracked tho cause it froze

Hey James, nice to see you got 11 to start. Was the air intake blocked? I don't know why you kept trying to run the engine with little to no oil pressure, and that ticking sound. Sounds like you've written off that engine. You still may be able to salvage that engine though. With no drive shaft you could not been able to drive it home anyway. Keep up the good work, we enjoy the video's.

Ya I was up and down on trying to save the engine. It still had 15 psi oil pressure. I will take the heads off when I get it home check the cam and see if I can see any crack. Then I will Roll in new bearings and stuff if I can. I have a complete other engine.

Hahaha You do have a great parts engine.

For God's sake don't push it further, It may be re-buildable at present, but if you blow it it sure as Hell won't be. Brilliant result all the same.

Na never. I’m just saying that block is 99% broken from freezing Every freeze plug on all three heads is gone. So I didn’t care much about running it. However I do need a crank so that’s why I did shut it down.

Ya It’s hard to be nice some times. Im not good at it. Johnny is a strong boy. He gives it back as good as he gets it. We have a good working relationship. However, you’re right and I’ve been told by a few im a little harsh. My father was very direct and that habit is hard to break

You give good to people and people will give same back to you all the best with that black ford it be a truly nice truck done back up drove couple of the lnt 9000 ford Louisville’s in Australia couple with 6.92 Detroit and one with a big v 903 Cummins engine with 15 speed box it truly was my favourite out of the three.
