What a joy to drive. The sound and feel of a powerful motor is an addictive thing.
The clutch must be brand new, still shining 😂 thanks for the little lesson, love how this beast sounds
I remember those being much more common, same with cab overs back when i still had one digit age bracket. Well early two digit as well. But yeah, it's weird how things that were about everywhere and you remember them as such, now are like seeing a rare gem. Enough that when you do see them, you get a little of that warmth from nostalgia.
Good looking truck. Those were some of my favorites along with the Ford cabovers. That’s one of the best sounding trucks I’ve heard in a long time
In my opinion, you have a Real Truck, and you did an excellent explanation. These `old Trucks` have much more charm. and manual shifting is the way it should be. Modern trucks might be very `safe` and luxurious, but charm? NO!

What's up trucker Joe great video my friend the old blue truck looks good pulling that old trailer. Looks like you had a nice and easy move taking the trailer to its new home. Stay safe out there my friend and keep the videos coming and always travel safely catch you on the next one.
I love this video both for the truck, and because, working for SEPTA, I travelled all of these roads in the video pretty regularly when I was still on night shift in locomotive maintenance before I moved to my current position. Ironically enough, I came across this video and the sale ad for two entirely different reasons today. Great ride you've got!
I love those Ford LTL9000 I was going to stop one day to see if truck was for sale I kept seeing it sitting in Langhorne Pa but there was no where to stop then I went by in my P/U truck and truck and wagon was gone glad to see it’s running and not rotting away good luck with the truck looks great and sounds great
FSC Trucking here on KZread just bought a Ford 9000 cabover and is rebuilding it. He needs a engine, another axel added to it and who knows what else. He drives a 84’ Peterbilt Cabover as his everyday truck for loads. Your truck looks good and sounds great too.
Man that interior looks cozy. I love it.
Love your videos 🤙 keep up the good work man!
Dude that intro was so satisfying watching you hook up to that trailer oml 👌
Your great with explaining the shifting keep the videos and the explanations coming thank you
Such a great looking truck.
Love the sound of that motor awesome
Nice ride you can't beat the old trucks. I started driving back in 1976. Sure do miss those times but right now I drive a 1986 Peterbilt 359 that's my every day truck I still love the old stuff hopefully you get a lot of fun miles out of it.
That's awesome looking ford and sounds great when you step on it.
I just love how the old belt driven air compressor sounds
I've lived in the area my entire life and have never seen this truck on the road... sounds incredible
Classic love it keep up the good work
I dont even drive trucks but I find this video super interesting. I guess its just like watching a piece of history with all the old equipment and train yards and stuff and the location. and the shifting, I didnt know how to shift a truck but I do now lol

It's called progressive shifting, when you early shift on RPM and foot peddle slow shifts while floating through the gears at a steady slow pace
In the 80s I drove a Ford tractor with a Detroit Diesel and a 10 speed Road Ranger, that old Detroit could make some sounds as you worked that Road Ranger !!!
Love that old ford, when I get my cdl that’s the kind of truck I want to get 🤙🏼

Enjoyable video format. Placement of the camera 'in cab' is spot on . Those Louisvilles were never the smoothest riding truck and noticeable with the shaking passenger seat but the camera vision none the less is rock solid. Will be interested as you age if you grow weary of jammin' them gears , I did😂 For an old girl the truck looks real sharp.
Never thought I’d say I enjoyed watching someone drive a truck but here I am enjoying this more than the food network while I have dinner.
I'm digging the Convoy, Rubber Duck truck, hood ornament.🦆🚛🤠

@@DS00700 I never knew anything about them until I drove one! They are comfortable, roomy, and very nice to drive! The sleeper helps with the space of course! But even the LT9000 we have is quite roomy and comfy even with the big seat we have in it. But yea, can't complain at all! Love driving them like anything else I've driven! I'd say a Mack dm with the offset cab and a Kenworth t880 were my least favorite trucks I've ever driven lol
Shift at the right p m and save the clutch.. dad tought me that.. that was in the 1960’s you can tell when to shift.. that’s what he said 😊
When I’m at our yard in Langhorne I load out of us steel right there first left over that bridge
Nice sounding Semi... Would love to learn how to drive such a Semi...tried to earn my CDL...failed the dang CLASS A written test...😂😒😕

I have zero fuckin clue how I stumbled on your channel, but I’m from the Ridley area living in Philly and I recognize so many of the routes you’re driving. Not a huge truck guy, but I dig the content bro. Keep doin you🤟
Man the first 5 minutes of this video was crazy
Pretty sure ive seen this truck up close in philly before. These videos dont do it a justice. It looks 100x better in person. Even cooler that it goes to work every day.
I had a ltl with kta 600,run like the wind
that big cam cummins sounds so sweet. are you still trying to sell it? the red truck is sweet too. i'm biased i love the fords r model macks and cabovers. i see a new truck like a cascadia i want to vomit. and dont get me started on automatics
Automatics are gorgeous rookies
Your correct quick shift the low gears rather then starting out in 3rd gear you had a good teacher I saw say that because you look on the younger side
Are the knobs dragon balls or is that like an old school trucker thing? As always great video!
Taking a wild guess at the year and 1986 is my guess. I owned a 1995 l9000 aeromax. Ford didn't change much in their design for years so the passengers seat rattling was WAY TOO FAMILIAR. If you pump up the passenger seat and hook the seat belt it doesn't rattle near as much.
When you are bobtailing or dead heading you can skip gears when I was in my 10 speed bobtailing I would take off in forth go to high side then shift 6 8 10 if I had empty trailer I would shift 2 3 4 go to hi range then hit 6 8 10 and I did it smooth I also down shifted like that
Song exaust wow i love.👍👍👍👍
Glad the headliner is in. Don't sell it. Hopefully the fourth of July was good.
That’s such a unique and beautiful looking truck. I don’t know how, but it LOOKS like a Ford! Maybe a bit like a bullnose? Shame about the trailer though.
It’s the headliner for me 🥹

Brother love your videos and questions? How to float gears downshifting and is 5 gear to high to turn right. Looking for from hearing you and be safe and happy Friday
@Only4Trucks
Жыл бұрын
Thank you I appreciate that and I will do a video of the best way I think I could teach floating gears, and also it all depends on the turn and the vehicle your driving to determine what gear would be too high.
When this happens most the time I pull down hard on the trailer hand piece or try backup helps release the brake shoes

Would it be possible / be a good idea skip the even gears in low? So to shift like L1 --> L3 --> L5 --> high range? At least when running empty.
The blue truck sounds like amazing and the train horn is amazing. What kind of transmission is in the blue truck

what engine is in it? she sounds great edit: your shifting explanation is really good but you forgot to say that it was for trucks that don't have synchronizers like autos do edit 2: that's how we shift here in jamaica; super quick. some guys do it slow but most are just banging through gears and it's fun to hear
2:52 thats was close
Slow shifting definitely has its place so dose speed shifts

You need to get a small sign on top of your Cab with the name of the steel facility you haul out of they always did that in Chicago not so much anymore I don’t know why I hauled out of Latham & Hickey steel in Bedford Park Illinois suburb of Chicago and my Dad drove for Eureka Cartage in Cicero Illinois Al Capones town his tractor had a sign on top that said INRYCO In Bedford Park they were the Rebar division of J.T. Ryerson steel Corporation any way stay safe out there thought you might enjoy that little tidbit of trivia
is this an 8 speed with a low?
Le sont du moteur magnifique 👍
You added the interior for the for the inner cab before it shipped off to its new owner when they buy the LTL9000?
