So just to be clear the test light didn't light up yesterday but it is today?U should say it a couple more times so people will know that the test light wasn't lighting up yesterday but is lighting up today, otherwise they won't know it wasn't lighting up yesterday but is lighting up today

This tool doesn't work on modern vehicle with their intricate wiring looms. You'll waist your life trying to find a short to ground as the faulty circuit loops around and tool keep indicating either direction. Similar to opens too it will at time indicate opens that don't exist. Most useless tool ive ever owned

That was the first time I'd used mine, and it definitely didn't work right, but seems like sometimes it does, but I was also getting the looping, and seems like it's not always accurate as to a ground or an open circuit, but obviously those are 2 totally different things. I seen a Scanner Danner video awhile ago where he used this tool too......and it seemed to work the same way for him...... I saw another video quite a few years ago where a guy used it to find an open, and it seemed to work right for him. It would be a pretty awesome tool though if it worked right all the time. I think if anything, if it did work right, it might be better for stuff that has longer runs of wire, and less wires involved, like trailer lights or something like that, but I don't really know.

I have to agree. I tried looking for an open to ground on my 1979 Jeep CJ that most likely was located in the large loom above the steering wheel under the dash and had no success. I wasted my money.

Why would you make a video of how to use a power prob ect3000 if yours isn’t working properly not the best video my man 👎👎👎

Thanks for the input and for watching. I can definitely see that line of reasoning, but even though the video wasn't specifically just about using the ECT3000, it did somewhat work enough to show the problem....and somewhat show how it should work normally, but was really just another video on general electrical testing/troubleshooting and different tools and techniques to use, and just happened to decide to use that tool on that video.

Dude ur obviously not a famous KZreadr “yet” you did a great job on the video. I just bought that power pro kit and you made it easier for me to use. Kinda understand it better don’t let those people with negative comments I bet you he doesn’t even know what that is

@@ChristopherFloyd-ur8mb Thanks for the positive comment. That's cool you got the power probe kit. It's a pretty handy tool with alot of different functions, which honestly I haven't even tried some of them yet. I mostly use my meters and test light for most stuff, but have been getting a few more electrical problems lately, so have been using my power probe a bit more than usual lately. I'm still fairly new to making videos and that was one of my earlier ones, so maybe not very good. I just started posting videos about a couple months ago and have been getting a wide variety of repairs & problems & vehicles to work on, so kind of have a variety of content on my channel, but try to show more of the diag & electrical type stuff, and think I got some pretty good content that hopefully will help or that others might like or can learn something from. Thanks again for the positive comment.
