It is more than likely a Tawny Owl, which like trees and tall bushes to roost in and hollows in trees or tall nest boxes, to nest in. Hello there, indeed, those glowing eyes that don't seem to blink can give them an angry sort of look. I like it when in flight, in a similar way to a Barn Owl, as they are flying by, they have a habit of turning their heads and looking right at you. Hi Rosco, your chances of seeing a 'Shortie' will increase hugely, if and when you go onto moorland to search for Deer, or other reason. I am ok at the moment with work on the home moving in the right direction, if a bit slow. KZread (for me) views are as low as they were 4 or 5 years ago and in 18 months, my highest viewed video is a mere 5K and there have only been 2 or 3 of them. My earnings are now down to around 25% of what they were too, hence me not being as active as my time can be put to better use. From my 6 #shorts the most viewed one hit 2.1K and the reward for that is 4 Pence! 👀 I have big plans on what to spend it on, lol. Did you find out why you got a month ban? And did you get some £'s for the 60+M viewed #short? Onwards and upwards, my Deer friend. 👍◕‿◕

Hi Wes, I hope you are well and still stomping about in the swamps and getting out there fishing on an almost daily basis! It was windy and the Owl often went to ground to shelter as they can't really hunt anywhere near their best in strong winds. It hung around for a couple of weeks and I went a few days in that time but never saw it catch anything.... I was too soon or it happened when I left, lol. Hi Bernie, so was I mate! The Owl was hunting and roosting in and around that field for a few weeks and I went to watch and film several times. I never saw it catch anything but staying that long, it clearly must have. Thank you for your continued support mate. 👍◕‿◕

Hello there, yes they 'Shortie' is a difficult bird to film and often at distance on open area, where the wind can prevent you getting decent video footage. I was very lucky with this individual being closer than usual and I was very happy to watch for some time and to capture this footage. Thank you, my friend. 👍◕‿◕

Wonderful Video, we noticed th Short Eared Owl in the former airport in the Middle of Berlin, at Tempelhofer Feld. It was mobbed by crows. Best wishes from Kiezfoto Berlin

Hello Andrea, I hope you and your family are well and that things are good for you all right now. Thank you so much just for caring, it means something when someone genuinely cares. And you are right in that I have simply been either too busy helping with the home, or busy cleaning and selling items on ebay and other places to keep some funds trickling in to help cover some of the costs for materials. We are still on 'room 1' but I can at last see it coming together. Although I am still waiting for the floor to be jacked up and pinned at one end of the room, it has been temporarily wedged and should be done in the next 2 or 3 days. I also have the electrician returning to finalise ceiling and wall lights wiring in readiness for the plasterer, who is coming in around 2 weeks time. I cannot wait for the plastering to be done, as it really will be progressing then towards the woodwork, doors skirting boards and rails etc. Then decorating. Oh I forgot the plumber and heating engineer needs to come and do some pipework under the floorboards to remove some pipes and put some new in for a new fire in the chimney breast. It 'WAS' a flat plastered wall but I have knocked plaster off and found the original 1930s fireplace all bricked up and not visible before, so I have helped knock it all back out and emptied many many bricks, rubble and soot and I have spent many hours cleaning it all to look really nice and ready for a new fire. So much to do but a very busy few weeks ahead. I see you have also commented on the grounded Owl, so I will respond to that too, thank you as always my very dear friend(s). 👍◕‿◕

How bad of me.. ^ ^ Actually I am using all my free time for working in the field and for checking my past recordings, unfortunately not for filming new ones. Luckily, I still had a few chances to get new footage and that is enough for me. An original 1930s fireplace sounds super fascinating. Hope all the works are proceeding well!

You get some amazing footage, I never see owls in the day , hear loads at night on my camps but never see them 🦉 all the best 👍

I'm sure there would be some surprises, especially if you placed a few animal 'snacks' around in front of the camera. Maybe you would catch an Owl on film with a few cubes of the meat you often cook? Hi Dave (and Sue) I hope you are both well. I'm sure you will see a 'Shortie' sometime soon. Moorland or areas of semi tall wild grasses and open areas are the best areas to see them and this is a good time of year too as they are returning to their breeding territories. I hope you do see one soon. I have been dong what I can in our home to keep costs down. My body feels battered but I've rested today and that helps. @@BusterGotIt I used to watch every single new video from those i have subscribed to. It just cost me hours and hours so now i just have to do like for like.... a nice comment where someone has actually watched the video gets the same in return. As do the video comments that are 1 or 3 words long, lol... they get the same back... my time is needed for the house and selling items to help the costs... plus we have a rescue here at home... Pixies Wildlife Rescue (on Facebook) ... mostly Pigeons at the moment but also Squirrels and a Hedgehog being released tomorrow :)
