If you bait elastic some cotton wool onto your hook and dip it in fish oil if possible, you can also use a small strip of mackerel it works really well for garfish. Gars have narrow beaks and many rasping teeth. They get their teeth tangled in the cotton wool and it really helps with hook ups.

Crackin piece John, Lizzie showing us how it's done on the rocks, too. Coming from the North West near all those Welsh marks and the Mersey, I miss the sea from here on the Trent. Still, I can get to Filey and Whitby once this bloody pandemic is canned...some proper fish n chips from a rock mark or the beach around Filey...Ooh jesus!! Many won't know the joys of Yorkshire Fish & Chips done in beef fat...murder on the heart but a blessing on the pallet.

Great vid dude... And it is a pleasure to see someone releasing fish. Most of the times I am out there fishing I don't take any fish only when the wife ask me to get her fresh one for dinner and it's only for her ( I eat only fresh mackerel) so everything goes back in the water. Exelent education vid for beginners( always good to have several methods for fishing... you never know what's hiding near the shore). Love your vids. All the best.
