Good video. A month ago i bought 2 3-way Prx 835 and previously i had the older models. I love JBL, these speakers handle a lot of abuse. The clarity of the sound is unmatched in my opinion . Im also so exited because my new Prx 18 subs are on their way!

good shit man, for me i havent done events over 200 ppl and portability is a must, thats why i went with the QSC k12.2s they sound amazing too

The SRX series are fairly good. I have a pair of the 835ps and work great. Had a guy doing a rental blow one of the drivers. To avoid this yourself I would add a limiter and if subs are a normal deal for you it helps take the load off the highs.

On my DJ setup @home I‘m still using my old JBL Control 28 and in my opinion these are still great speakers

DAS ftw, I have some older ones, DS115 coupled with their Sub 18. Best sound going

If you're "upgrading" from the JBL PRX line, I would totally go for a higher end line rather than side-grading to something like the EV ETX or QSC. You made a great choice. These boxes are beasts and about as good as you're going to get without spending more on RCF TT line etc.

I love my monster SRX dual 18” I also have it paired with a QSC KW181 and two EV 15” 2 way tops... not too bass-y. Only thing I wish I had were 3-ways instead

Yes because of the low bassline frequencies. For example I would recommend testing RUMOURS ~ GREGORY ISAACS 😊

Hey man, What are your thoughts on the QSC KW line against EV ETX and JBL SRX? I want to buy some speakers, but here in Mexico EV and JBL are way too overpriced, so I thought QSC could be the option. (and depending on the budget, ALTO ts3, but I dont know if they would keep up to a k12 or k10 on QSC) Thanks for the innput ad congratulations, you just bought a couple of monsters for your gigs

JBL SRX800 series DESTROYS QSC in every category but weight. Volume, clarity, punch, depth, heat, all of it. They're expensive, but they're worth it.

@@ScottyMcYachty but, qsc kw153 rules! JBL SRX835P didn't make it! JBL limits and rattles like sh#t! Bose F1 model 812 sounds better than JBL! Atleast, Bose & QSC don't rattle as sh#ty JBL.. the only product in SRX800 line up good is the SRX828SP.. and all passive versions

DAS is a pretty good company, and somewhat rider friendly. You see a lot of it in the pro PA world. I've mixed quite a few mid sized live venues on DAS, and it has always been quite decent. The DJ world is still stuck in the world of cheapo JBL crap. Those DAS systems are miles ahead of the JBL PRX and SRX systems.

You should have tried out the Yorkville speaker line

Massive? You guys should have been around in the 80s lugging around SP1, SP2 and SP3 stacks. They were 8 feet tall when you stacked them up. Then we had a high end tweeter horn aray on top to make it a 4 way FOH system. Bigger was better back in the day. Todays largest speakers are tiny in comparison but sound great.

Should have gone with the EV's or their counterparts RCF's. You cannot go wrong with them. The only thing about the EV's Is You need the Controller to get them to Sing In any room You go to. It Is a Analyzer that Sets them to the Acoustics of the room. Nice Video Thanks for Sharing.

Room correction will never save you. The EV is a better speaker, that's true, but not because of any room correction.

JBL is a shadow of it's former self. They have not produced a halfway decent sound system since the Sound Power series of the 90's and the HLA point source line.
