I live in a small rural community. After one incident of out of towners from the city coming and attempting to clean our stores out, there were " we sell to locals only" signs placed on the doors and those are strictly enforced. If they don't know you you're required to show ID to prove you're a local. I love them for it. They showed loyalty to us and we do the same in return. They also require everyone use hand sanitizer when they enter & before they check out which they provide.

In my town, we have one major store City Market. There is a city about 30 miles away, where my community regularly travels to. It has 2 Walmarts and other food stores. Of course a ton of dollar stores as well. And it’s the same as everywhere in the US. No toilet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizers, cleaning solutions, cleaning sprays etc...So, I believe small towns, small cities, major cities it’s all the same. That’s my situation here in New Mexico...If you took the time to read this Thank You. Hi from Greece , Rhodes. There is a law that you can go out once a day with a pass. And in the supermarket you get a pass. There are a certain number of passes if they are handed out you have to wait outside till one is given to you. Before entering the supermarket you have to wear gloves that the store provides for you.Keep safe this is a nightmare for everybody.

Idk if other people have told you this in the comments (and if they have, my apologies), but i would suggest only touching things you plan on buying. & you have such a calm spirit, really enjoyed this vlog.

There is no shortage of toilet paper here in Gothenburg (yet), but on the other hand both Sweden and Finland are big producers of paper. I just wonder what happens when the danger is over? Maybe these paper mills go out of business, because everybody has toilet paper for years to come.

@@WildwoodVagabond Just-in-time cannot deal with demand surges. 20% of people think "I better get an extra packet" and it's gone. When it's back on shelves people think "damned hoarders, better get an extra packet" and it's gone again. Repeat until it has cycled though the entire population.

We have not hoarded. It’s just my hubby and myself and he works so not home all day. We have maybe 6 double rolls left. It’s in the list if we ever find any. Lol

Here in Golden Colorado where I am, the King Soopers (Kroger) store has now limited toilet paper purchases to one package per cart. Which is great beciause today I was able to get a 6 pack of tp. Restaurants here are limited to take out or delivery. Nuts!!! I am staying away from media induced fear and panicking people. Elderberry, niacinamide, spriulina, vitamin d are the supplements I am using. I also chop up two garlic cloves, put some raw honey on top and down it;fyi. Be safe.

kevin b That’s good! They’ve started limiting here too but it’s 2 packages of TP per person. Texas has allowed alcohol to be carried out and/or delivered from restaurants because of the take out or delivery only guideline. That’s unheard of here. I’ve been looking for elderberry everywhere and can’t find any!

Elderberry has been contraindicated because it can cause an over response from the body which call overwhelm the immunity system and overcome it ! Elderberry is recommended to prevent getting ill but not during an illness! I have attached an article on it! We have in Spain only one supermarket chain that constantly runs out off stuff (Mercadona). Others have plenty of everything even 🧻. In the Spar they had discounted the hand wipes for today. Well 10% off. Only one person of the family is allowed to do the shopping. Only certain amount of people is allowed in at one time. You wait outside and keep a distance to the next one and when you enter you have use the provided plastic hand cloves. Guards check that you don’t go crazy 😜 It was actually nice to be in the Lidl because there was much less people inside. Usually families go there all together so the place gets really crowded. You can have only one person in the car ie driver an nobody else. Also the taxis can only have one customer at the time. Everybody has to stay home if they aren’t working. Supermarkets, pharmacies, tobacco shops and hardware shops are open. Restaurants and everything else is closed. We don’t have gun shops? But they would be closed too. You can go to the work directly and the bus services works. No gatherings over one person are allowed 😜 You can’t invite people to your home. No handshaking or kissing. Only namaste 🙏

What is horrifying is the situation in the USA. Now 10 million people has lost their jobs and health insurance. That will go up very fast. In the first wave 65 million people will lose their jobs. This happens within a month. There was already 87 million people without coverage so there will be 152 million without the protection. That’s nearly half of the population, And Trump is doing nothing. He only worries about his ratings.. his bigly ratings. The lack of leadership or the leadership vacuum is amazingly catastrophic. All the Tumps failures will now become nightmarish reality. Worst hit are those who voted for him so there is Karma in the situation. I hope that Sanders gets back to the race. He is like Terrier who can bite Trump in arse and win because Trump must go. USA deserves better.

Comforting to know Finns aren't the only toilet paper hoarders 😊 That's been causing smiles around here while gun hoarding in US has caused horror. At the moment it's difficult to fly to Finland or out of here but eventually this situation will be over. It's been estimated to take until midsummer but there's still good tourist season in August, warm and sunny 😎

It's true that Finns are realistic and practical people under normal circumstances but they are also cheap: if they can get something with a big discount or as a freebie, they will take as much as possible even though they don't necessarily need the product in question. It might come in handy sometime in the future or someone they know might have a use for it. Update on the epidemic: The latest estimates tell that the peak in Finland will be in May, after that it starts to look better but it's difficult to say when the whole thing is completely over.

Here in London UK it is hard to get the food l need, the small shop near me does now keep tp in the back so we have to ask for it. l cannot get hand santizer or face masks either, even canned goods my usual online shop is a nightmare. Trying to get a slot, they go so fast, today's shopping did arrive but nothing for meals. l do still thankfully have bread, butter and some canned things l set aside weeks ago. Now there is talk of extending the quarantine for up to 18 months. l was surprised that you don't have security guards at the shop entrance plus here we have to keep two metres apart from each other.

I destroided thermometer by stpeppin it. Now I'm feeling pretty good and thermometer say 37,5. I might have soffored .

If you are always losing the list ,take a screenshot of it then if you lose the paper version then you still have it !

People are really different, for us the basic things like soy sauce, fish sauce, vinegar, onions, garlic, rice, pork, chicken meat are low in quantity but not zero.

All those plastic bags, why don't stores use the boxes that the goods came in to pack your shopping in or put it in the cart so you can put it straight into your trunk. You should invest in your own grinder and grind as required, coffee keeps better in bean form.

Here in California they now make you pay ten cents per HEAVY plastic bag to carry your food out in. That way they've encouraged a lot of people to bring their own bags (or reuse the heavy plastic bags). I just load my food directly into the cart, then into my bike panniers, with overflow into a pillow case I hang from my handlebar. I'm a rare exception, though. I'd bet a lot of people just throw away the heavy bags, too. At least they don't blow around and get hooked in trees for years.

Toilet paper? I don't get it... I live in Tampere, Finland and in here was also a day or two when two of my usual supermarkets ran out of the toilet paper, pasta, rice, noodles, bread, cold cuts, sausages, tuna and minced meat, but after those two crazy days shopkeepers got every shelves full again. I still don't know why the people went that crazy and hoarded so much paper and food. Maybe they went a bit early to their summer houses because their children also assigned to home studying for the rest of the semester?

My guess for the reason people hoard in America is because 1) There's a lot of people here that don't think or care how their actions will affect others, and 2) No one believes the government will help because it's the cause of most of the problems in the first place.

You’ll get here eventually so you needn’t worry about returning any money. Now, just to get your mind off things, let’s talk puppies. Have you seen Noel’s youngest puppies recently? Or even pictures of them? I remember the male going to your Dad’s neighbour. It just so happens that my stepdad has a two-room apartment to let here in Porvoo. It has just gone through a major overhaul so it’s as good as new. Moving here would be simpler if you were a Finnish citizen. It’s a great shame you came so close in Turku.

Good question. Maybe people are horrified at the prospective shame they'd endure if they weren't able to wipe their butts. They accordingly buy a YEAR's supply to make DAMN sure that doesn't happen to THEM. They probably don't even consider that their hoarding could well ultimately cause them to have to smell the butts of OTHERS! :oO

I think your stores are in worse shape than here where I live in Australia. Except for paper products, pasta and rice, we are well stocked. As for guns our gov. has placed a temporary ban on the sale of guns and ammo.

i thought you had grey in your hair, like you were old or something I was so confused because you look so young LOL.

MINDYWAAAA I do have grey in my hair lol. I’m 42! I’m intentionally growing out my hair to its natural color. However I started getting greys when I was 17 yrs old. I always colored my hair to cover it up. I’m tired of doing that and hiding behind color so I decided to let it be. Thanks for watching! Much love from Texas ✌🏼❤️

I think its just a matter of time when here die more people than now (17) and if patience go over i think 150. Its very critical and then people start really die.. Older ones. I live on an island with no cases of the virus in the UK and over the last week we have been invaded by 200 to 300 mobile homes trying to hide out from the virus. That's close to an extra 1000 ppl on the island and is putting a huge strain on the stores and health care. But the government has finally put a ban on anyone trying to take mobile homes to remote regions now. Also many stores are not letting these ppl that invaded the area into their shops, so hopefully they will all start leaving soon as there supplies run out

I tried to buy canned goods, I really did, I now have 8 cans of chopped tomatoes. But we haven't had much shortages, minced meat and hand sanitizer is out mostly.

Joan Shealy I am! They’re at that really annoying stage at the moment. I’ve been so tempted to cut them but I’m not going to. 😑

Spain is the second worst hit country in Europe so I guess i'm not going, just when i got my things in order, but hey there's always tomorrow! (I know that's a bit uncertain too atm but that's just how i need to see this situation)

@@WildwoodVagabond yea i just read they are turning some Ice Hockey Hall to a temporary morgue and over all death toll in Europe is now over 10 000 (Italy, Spain and France) for now it's not no where near that bad in Finland and stores are full of food but there's pretty heavy restrictions even in domestic travel coming up. That's it enough news for me for a while, i just hide thanks. Like you Said better safe than sorry! Stay safe 🌸
