Missed the live doing yard work and taking care of the chicks but thankfully for the recording

Q; I haven't started yet (as in no birds or enclosures set up yet). How many eggs should I buy, or should I get 3 breeding pairs instead? I have chickens but never done any breeding as we aren't allowed roosters in town. But it's not enough eggs for our family. I'm not allowed to have more than 20 small birds in my local area. I have a largish backyard in a small town. We're surrounded by businesses so no one should be annoyed by the male quail. Fantastic video by the way, exactly what I wanted to know before I go buying aviaries etc.

This was one of the last things I was wanting to research before I got my birds.
