I recommended wildfire to a client because of vgg. They bought an xlt and I was able to toss it up for them in a couple hours. Great lift. Much better than other 4 posts I am familiar with. Looks like a killer new shop. That client didn’t have a huge shop, but it was tall. Took advantage of the height by putting shelves above the cabinets they chose, used a “library style” rolling ladder for access. Got it all from grainger, probably something to consider to utilize some of the height in that shop.

When we ran methanol in our car we used to fill the 32 gallon cell with wiffle balls to stop the sloshing (circle track). The holes would allow fuel to flow freely and the fuel wouldn't slosh around. The methanol never broke the plastic down on the balls either. Cheap & effective. However if your fuel cell fill hole isn't big enough you won't be able to fit the ball through. Just a thought.

Impressive. Most impressive For those who don't know, those of us working at home without a lift, a lift like any one of those installed today will allow you to do more work faster with less far effort. That and air/air tools (or battery electric tools) cut project time in 1/2. Plus you get double storage space when not using the lift to work. That and the sweet new pole barn with the epoxy floors takes the home project guy / weekend warrior wrench to a whole other level. Congrats to Derek & family plus every one at VGG on the big move, and more obviously landing on your feet running ! Best Of Luck !!

@@mattc3368 Derek seems sincere with his appreciation of his subscribers. Some people might say that his subscribers, patreons and friends put him where he is today but if his channels and his content weren't interesting, enjoyable, educational and genuine he wouldn't have the fan base he does. It takes a tremendous amount of time and effort to record, edit and post these videos. Sure, he's made money from KZread but nowhere near what Hollywood celebrities have made and personally I find the classic car content way more enjoyable.

@@vincedibona4687 I appreciate you taking the time to educate me on this topic...lol. If I'm not mistaken, Derek always refers to himself as "a guy" and to others as "a fella". Who am I to take away his title as "a guy" and use it for myself? I regard Derek always as "a guy" because that's what he refers to himself as. I'm just "a fella"...and so are you.

If I may make a suggestion, get one of them smaller-sized instant hot setups for the sink instead of a water heater. Congrats on the shop and the move in general. The lifts look great the lighting and white walls look clean. Can't wait to see the up-and-coming projects always a pleasure to drop in and catch a video.

Am I the only guy who loved auto mechanics and spent over two years in school (1982-83) and never spent a day of my life working on a car? Yeah, I started dating a city slicker and my career changed completely. Now that she’s okay with me getting dirty, my hands don’t function, due to CMT. But I’m trying, and loving it… though there’s days I literally cry about this disgusting CMT disease. Luckily for me, I think of how others are less fortunate than I am. Hey feller... What a guy needs to fix the fuel slosh problem... It's called a "Fuel Surge Tank"... Basically a secondary small gas tank that runs inline with the main tank... The pump from the main tank feeds the smaller tank.. then a second pump draws from the smaller tank to feed the fuel rails.. They have a tall cylindrical shape with the inlet at the top.. and outlet at the bottom.. This creates a small reserve of fuel that is not effected by lateral motion.. so as the car whips around and the main pump looses pressure.. the surge tank has extra fuel to compensate.. this eliminates fuel slosh problems ;-)

This has given me a great idea. Imagine living in a house that has a bonus room over the garage. Cut a hole in the floor of the bonus room and have a lift such as the double lift only capable of lifting up to floor level of the bonus room. Bingo, 4 car garage with access to the upper cars via the bonus room stairs.
