Спорт
I'll discuss the accurization work on my Uberti New Model Army Remington by Gunsmith Charlie Hahn. We will then take it to the range for test firing.

Mark good to watch you on KZread again. My Uberti New Army shoots one ragged hole with balls a 25 yards. Not sure I can improve anything on my revolver by rebarrelling

Yep, mine are fine when you find the sweet spot
I shoot my BP Revolver from a rest when I am testing something new. Its the only way that I can ensure that I am doing the exact same thing each time I shoot. And I am thoroughly enjoying shooting the cartridges I made using the bullets made with my Eras Gone Bullet Mold. They load easily enough in my 44 Cal Uberti 1858 Remington and those Johnston & Dow Bullets are BLAST to shoot with 20 grains Swiss 1.5F and very accurate!
welcome back sir
Please make more videos soon! One of my favorite channels.
I think Charlie built your 1858 for point of aim shooting. I remember when he worked on my .54 Sharps Carbine he asked me if I wanted to shoot 6:00 or POA. As an aside, Charlie also recommended a low 40 grain charge for the Sharps (likely for target work) but he did mention the 64 +/- grain combat charge the original used with the .52 bore. I imagine the .54 would require a heavier combat charge.
Nice to see you back. I would love to be able to go to the range and make some smoke with my cap and ball revolvers, but I have no caps. No caps, no bang. Been that way for going on now two years. On Gunbroker, they range from thirty to fifty cents/cap or $300-500/thousand. I am not that desparate as of yet. I guess some of us are lucky to have an ample stash on hand. There is another cap and ball youtuber--Old Ranger. He gets some impressive accuracy with out of the box Pietta and Uberti revolvers. I can't seem to duplicate his results. Perhaps he is just a naturally good shot.
Welcome back You have been dearly missed Stay well and we all look forward to many new and informative videos 💗DJ

I enjoy your videos a lot. Keep up the good work.
Great to see you making videos again!!
Mr. Hahn's 'wear' is probably cylinder stop/ hand wear oriented.
Well you addressed my only question regarding the bullet diameter of the era's gone line. Now I have a mould made of my own bullets that I call Mukwa bullets for all three production calibers. Four of which I made with the intent of a ruger/walker bullets. They have a .447 heal, with a .456 + or - .001 of an inch tolerance. I have four different test bullet weights 240, 250, 260, and 270 grains. These are not historically accurate bullets. My intent is to make them hunting/dangerous game defense. I've started my own channel, where you can see a post I did on for of my .31 caliber recently. Also Leverguns50 did a couple of videos with my 270 grain bullet in a walker. With that being said the 240 grain might be of enough diameter to help you. Also my Remington/small colt .44 weights are 165, 190, 215, and 225 grains. I just did a couple of videos where I got a 60 grain charge behind my 165 grain muckwa bullets in my 1866 Remington carbine. The 190 grain I'm able to get a 54 grain charge Mountain man

Great to see you back. I really need to contact this gentleman you're talking about. I have been looking everywhere to get a barrel blank or send out a barrel to get gain twist rifling.
Hey mark haven't seen any videos in so time. I am sure you are just busy, just wanted to reach out to see if you are ok. Cheers.
Feel better EGB
Those charges are about what the top shooters at the World Championships are using.
I love how you named your channel after a Taylor Swift tour. I commend your courage.

Is Hahn still in business? I tried contacting him with no luck.
hi Mark, is always a pleasure when you return
I have always wondered why Remington did not follow Colt or Parker & Hale in reproducing their Ball and Cap revolvers back during the craze of 1963-1985? The same for Smith & Wesson too..... I have always experienced the Remington design pistols to out perform the Colt design with the back-strap being the critical point. Remington is also more giving on cap spalling too.
Welcome back!
