This is my favorite amateur astronomy video on KZread! I watched it four times and like it more everytime. It's amazing how you can get such stunning pictures from the light polluted London sky. You are seriously talented.

I'm going back and watching a lot of your videos since discovering your channel. You, sir, have one of THE BEST channels on KZread! You do an incredible job putting your videos together. I feel like I'm watching a discovery channel documentary with each and every one. So very well done!!

Although I've been viewing the moon telescopically for nearly 40 years (sinve 1986), this is the first time I've ever heard of it referred to as any specific color. The fact that I have never confirmed that I've seen it might have something to do with it.

Inspring in how to achieve maximum from the given Hardware. And as usually combined with a nice and humurous Story telling. Thank you

Meade ETX 70/80/90 if you need it portable and goto. Or a larger 150/200 Newtonian or Dobson if you just want the best view from your back garden.

If you just want to watch beautiful object and be amazed without aving to deal with complex settings, go for a Dobson, it's the best choice for a beginner. My first telescope was a Dobson and I don't regret it.

Do you want to do astrophotography or not? 400 EUR won't get you much to go off of for astrophotography. For visual astronomy, IMO nothing can beat an 8" Dobsonian telescope (if it's not too big and heavy, for most it isn't), which falls right into your price range and will serve you up pleasing views of both planets and deep sky objects.

I would recommend a 90mm refractor telescope on a quality mount. If you want most aperture for your money I would recommend a 200mm dobsonian reflector.

Your story telling is on par what i would expect when i watch a documentary on Natgeo or Discovery or something. Great!

This is not just another video. It is a MOVIE!!! With a beginning, a story, actors, script, photographer, and a happy end. Big like. Very interesting unique video. I mean movie. 👍❤️

I love how you really try and push the boundaries with modest equipment, and you did it! you got the blue lake! Really well done on that! You really do inspire me to try and do better with my channel. p.s Peter Drew who built the scope is a regular poster on SGL :) A top man! Loved the video and that you F up when in a rush like everyone else on the planet (Lithium grease on the ZWO lol ) Glad it was ok :D My respect to Riktenstein for the tunes too!

I used a similar scope to see saturns rings when I was a child. It changed my life.

It's amazing that of all the decades I've been alive, you've been alive ,the years that telescope has been around while it all comes down to a brief 2-hour window of calm, with a mad dash rush and a lens covered in lithium grease to get that shot... Wild

It would be cool, but the Moon moves too fast for Hubble to get a good exposure picture, and its too dim in UV light.

There's a documentary about trying to see the landing spots from Apollo missions using the Hubble, but it wasn't possible because Hubble is focus to deep field and the moon is too near.

@@brits72 Just searched him. I would stop if I were you, he doesn't seem mentally well. He says the moon isnt right because his personal photo was blurry. He believes in the classic stereotype of a UFO, not knowing that's a human design. No hate to him, but he looks as if he needs therapy.

I almost never click "like" just because I don't like "like collectors" but I would click "like" for an every second of this video. Thank you so much! You grant for people not only a knowledge but also a positive attitude for the whole day.
