your color grading is absolutely some of the best I've ever seen, esp the blue hour stuff on Day 1. edit: also, I went to Arizona in March and I loved every second of the trip and being the Saguaro Nat Park East during a freak-blizzard was such a surreal experience. I love your images so much and it's making me want to be back there all over again.

I think the "horizontal rainbow" may have been nacreous clouds, AKA Mother-of-Pearl clouds, formed high in the atmosphere. Kind of fits with the high altitude cirrus that's also in the sky.

Woooooahhh thanks for the reply! Fascinating stuff.
Dylan, I've been following you for a little while, but I just wanted to let you know that your work is absolutely stunning! I shoot Video primarily (FX3 & FX30) and fell out of love with photography because it felt so stale and dull.. Due to your recent Fujifilm XT5 pictures (before the video you released happened) I purchased an XT5 and absolutely fell in love with the process.. I then picked up a Nikon F3 (out of inspiration from you) and I absolutely love how intentional I have to be... I found that spark again.. So, thank you kindly, Sir! Also, As someone who used to mix and master music, I dig your setup a lot! That Apollo and those speakers (Adam A7s?) are awesome, along with your synths! Keep it up, brother! I do have just one question/request... as a newly inspired 35mm film guy, would you possibly think of creating a video from start to finish on developing your film and then scanning the negatives? I know there are a million videos on YT about it probably but I would enjoy your workflow. If not, I totally understand and with that, I say 'Drive On! Keep it Up!'
@DylanSpitz
Жыл бұрын
Wow what an amazing chain of events. Thank you so much for sharing all of that - heck yeah the F3 is so fun! Funny your background is so similar- my degree is oddly enough in music technology and I worked in recording studios and also composed for a long time. I wouldn’t be against that idea at all! You’re not the first person to ask so I may make something covering that soon-ish! Again, really appreciate your support and kind words, I know I don’t reach millions of people on here but so far I’ve reached some pretty great ones. Cheers Luca 🤘

Thank you Josh! Haha, I'm happy you found me. I will probably get to that, I have been getting a lot of requests for it...my process is just very dependent on the look and feel I'm going for depending on the scene, so it's hard to really follow some step-by-step process for teaching purposes.
