SHOOTING BIG PIGS 308win
Ойын-сауық
Shot some big pigs this trip with the 308, running both subsonic and supersonics. Spent night 1 over a sheep feeder full of wheat, the pigs had been regularly coming in and pushing the sheep away. Made for a great night with 20 pigs shot. Mainly used subsonic around the feeder to keep the noise to a minimum and not scare away other pigs in the area. Unfortunately the wind came up on night 2, with gusts over 60kph, difficult to shoot in but made it easy to sneak in on the mobs out in the stubble paddocks. Best pig weighed in at 105kg with several others around 80kg. Other than scoping myself and giving the boys a good laugh it was a fantastic couple of nights with plenty of pigs down, lot's of fun and some good shooting too. Even got to play with some Gen 2, white phosphorus helmet mounted night vision, very cool gear....

You've hit the nail on the head mate. Best part of $2 per round these days, a little cheaper if you reload. Thermal is worth every cent but makes for a unhealthy bank balance and requires a very forgiving wife. 😉

@@RJMHuntingAustralia Ive seen some of the prices for thermals and that will give most people nightmares but they are great gear.If you are doing reloads i reccommend those 150 grain ballistic tips..Whew they stop them cold in there tracks they will not let you down as i no experience with the same round they are a bit pricey but anything to do with firearms nowdays usually are no surprise there. The only problems with reloads is if your time poor that will be a bugger it takes time reload about 50 rounds at a time as ive done.Ive dropped piggies around the 150kg mark and never had to shoot twice with those ballistic tips they are just the bees knees of projectiles grab yourself a box and they will drop the biggest piggies they will go down like a beer at octoberfest..Look forward to the next video
