Shooting at the Hickok45 compound.

Ойын-сауық

I was going through some old videos & found my very first video I made after the " I like guns ' music clip. I dont know why i never put it up but here it is. It was filmed at the Hickok45 compound and it was hickok45 who encouraged me to make my own shooting videos when i got back to Oz. Its over 5 years old so be kind.

    I remember when you and your daughter visited the compound, Steve. Keep up the great work, good luck on your next trek to Cambodia, and keep the fight to win back all of your gun rights in Australia.

    steveleeilikeguns Must be fun traveling around and trying out all these great firearms. Keep up the fight for Australian gun rights, although I usually keep it to the topic of human rights which is the core issue.

    i think it has more to do with hickok being an insanely good shooter, he makes fun of himself a lot but hitting a gong at 80 yds is stupid hard...he also talks about winning a bunch of guns in competitions in the past too so he has to be good!

    You could see Steve was getting what I like to call "gun-drunk" near the end there. I've seen it quite a bit with visitors from gun-restricted countries who get behind the trigger of an AR or AK and are just so amped up on the sheer freedom of it that they just let loose.

    Lol... He regularly goes to Cambodia to shoot RPGs, fully automatic machine guns/rifles/SMGS, 40mm grenades, etc.. Pretty sure his "gun-drunk" tolerance is a bit higher than yours, friend.

    +20alphabet Sad, isn't it? I was down there a few years ago and it was a pussified shithole. And after watching some of their news services it seems the criminals are very well armed. That's what we could look like before too long if we're not careful.

    CAbushcraft Indeed! My wife is from Sydney, and her father (now deceased) was bemoaning what it was like when he was a boy... what was lost. The whole Australian culture, an absolute loss. Being kindred spirits with the Aussies, real Americans (from the Great Immigration and before) have a bond with the Australian people. So when we hear of their woes, we feel for them.

  • @CAbushcraft

    @CAbushcraft

    20alphabet Yeah, I was disappointed with Sydney. It was a real shithole, and that's coming from someone that grew up in LA. Their culture is indeed lost, but I don't know if I have too much sympathy. They let it happen to themselves.

    +CAbushcraft "Their culture is indeed lost, but I don't know if I have too much sympathy. They let it happen to themselves." I can say as an Australian that you are correct. It is the inconvenient, hard to hear truth that we cannot just blame politicians and police (though they DO deserve blame!!), it is the mindset of the people that ALLOWS such tyranny to occur in the first place. Then you get all the morons lapping up the gun control propaganda from idiots like Jim Jeffries, popular "comedian" aka some loser spouting off gun control propaganda.

    Steve! you aren't old enough to have hearing loss from before shooters were serious about hearing protection are you? Use always! Was at a trap/skeet range outside of Perth. Eye protection was only "recommended." They were lax about hearing protection. Here, on a formal range, non use of either will get you ejected. But they did stipulate that at formal club events, no camoflage---I was wearing my mesh camo shooting vest and camo hat. Also said no "work clothes" allowed. Did meet some nice "Sheilas". They actually liked American accent---even NJ accent. Go figure! BADA BING!
