Slowdive 🙏
For three years now, I have been watching this video. Nowhere is the quite possibly my all time favorite record to listen to.

Agreed, it's just a trip. So tasteful groovy light and dark...
Brilliant, could maybe look at slowdive or swervedriver

Agreed! Swervedriver really are masters of guitar layering and crazy tones and odd chords.
I would love you to take us through some MBV, you made me realise or feed me with your kiss.

Wow, man! So much gratitude towards you for this lesson! You're literally the first of the great guitar tutors on YT to pay attention and cover this topic, your effort is really appreciated. Please do some more shoegaze. Cheers and good luck!
This is just what I needed, thanks! Would love for Slowdive to be your next in the shoegaze series. Maybe "When the Sun Hits".
If I were to form a band and I were granted a number one draft pick, I'd pick Adrian every day of the week and twice on Sunday. What a gift you are!
Maybe Rides "Like a daydream" next? That would be stellar.
YES!!!! I LOVE SHOEGAZE!! Could you try walking us through some Pale Saints tracks later on :))
Yup. Really enjoyed that one! Took me back to the Slough music festival, I forget the year, Ride headlined, maybe 1991.
This is fantastic. Love Ride. There really aren’t any good Ride lessons or covers online, so thanks for doing this!
Ride are such an amazing band!
The pedals shot at 1:05 made me smile. We had a three-piece and who played lots of Ride back in the day, and I made up for my lack of playing skills by having the most pedals on the face of the earth, all laid out in front of me just like this. I even had two or three of these pedals. Thanks for the memory and the great video.
please please PLEASE do some more shoegaze
“It’s a little bit hard to hear” - and yet a joy to the ear. That’s Shoegaze :D
I'm very thankful for this channel, not a lot of guitar channels focus on alternative like you do. Helped me a lot in my growth as a player and I'm glad other aspiring have this channel to do the same.
One of my favourite videos you have ever done. Fantastic job.
Love this!!!!! I not only learn something new from most of your videos, I discover lots of cool music that is new to me.
This is excellent, I love learning about musical genre and styles, really great to see the effects build up to create the wall of sound.
Brilliant! One of my fave Ride tunes, I love the drum intro to this one.
this channel just keeps getting better and better! Another great lesson man :)
I like the songs that you pick - I absolutely love Dreams Burn Down - what an epic use of feedback and distortion.
Never been a fan of shoegaze but still love to watch and learn from your videos.
Best of all shoegaze songs! Great choice! Thanks 🙏
Most enjoyable particularly your set through the setup. Thank you.
Doesn't get any better than this, thanks Adrian
I absolutely love Shoegaze! Great video!
That tone for the rhythm sounds amazing.
Thanks for that! So great to see ride songs here!
LOVE IT!! More songs of Ride or other shoegaze bands please!!
Your channel is one of my favorite's! Thanks for the content sir!
I just heard this album for the first time! love this song
Shoegaze is amazing please do more
Thank you sir, your lessons are brilliant!
As per my Bunnymen suggestion, how about some Cocteau Twins?

Watching from Oxford! What a fantastic band Ride are. Looking forward to picking up some stuff from this.
Youre a real legend for doing some shoegaze, more please!
Great job staring at the floor the whole time you were playing. Must have part of the whole tone. Awesome lesson!!!
A bit late to the party but Wow what a great tune, this had obviously passed me by back in my youth. Great lesson and one I will be working through. Thanks for the lessons and I now have a new band to check out.
Keep the shoegazzzzzze coming. This is great!!
I can't play guitar, but love this song. Fascinating.
More Shoegaze and Dreampop lessons please!!
Wow, this is an incredibly high-quality video. Just wow.
you are my absolute faveourite youtube channel that teaches guitar thanks!
This is just awesome!! I love it, and I love the melancholic song too. I would LOVE to hear a lesson on a song by Lush.
I agree with MBV 'u made realize' request!! 'Drive blind' is my favorite ride song. And you are my favorite guitar teacher!!!!!
I honestly don't listen to much shoegaze, but it sure looks fun to play. Please post more shoegaze videos. I'm anxious to learn!
I love Taste off this wicked album. Thanks for covering some Ride, Adrian.

not off the album, is it? just a bonus track
Great choice of lessons, thank u
whooa!, Really nice drenched gaze sound :) this ticks all kind of boxes for me :) Thanks for going through the effects etc. too, Good info! I’m trying to learn more technique recently.. that said, who doesn’t love some heavily FX’d strumming
You and Gemini guitar are classics.
Saw Ride live last year in November first night of their tour, they were great
Yeees finally shoegaze, hoping for MBV like feed me with your kiss maybe?
Just subscribed and I am so happy I did. You are my kind of guitar player! Greetings from Seattle, you have a new friend of the fretboard.
I'm back! Thank you again for this.
Beautiful!
THIS IS SO GOOD! THANK YOU!
Super stuff as usual it dont get any better really 👍👍
Thank you! More please!
This is amazing!!!
G'day Addy! Beautiful production here mate! Great Stuff
Wow massive thank you for this song
OMG please more shoegaze tutorials! New subscriber. Yes yes!!!
kick ass thank you very much for this
Love this one. Even got the sound going on my line 6. Cheers would love more ride and maybe some charlatans .
Thank you very much!
Love this.
my personal fave of their tunes, along with Time of her time. i think this is just a slowed down version of 'drive blind'. And yes, SWERVEDRIVER another consistently good Oxford band! Worthy of a good shoegaze rock lesson!
Great! As always
Thank you. Awesome stuff. If you ever get the chance, please do Chelsea Girl.
Awesome! How bout some The Jesus and Mary chain "Head On" action next time? Sounds reasonable to teach but what do I know, I'm still learning.
More THE FALL songs please! (And more shoegaze!!!) but especially more MES

great video
Thank you
I have jaguar and love showgaze. Must have played this album thousands of times. It's time I learn how to do this tremolo bar style.
This is so cool, any chance of some My Bloody Valentine?
amazing.
When I win the lottery get all the pedals etc I will happily give this one a go. Thanks Adrian

Haha yes. Though interestingly most of the early Ride stuff was done with an early Roland Multi fx unit, no pedals at all. Can pick them up cheap on eBay, I'm tempted myself.
This gonna be good.
Like that Shergold....very, very nice
Tack!
Do some MBV! Lets hear that reverse verb
huh this is sick!!
Awesome shoegaze video dude I hope you can do another shoegaze one with slowdive, my bloody valentine, Verve or even Swervedriver
Hey, thank you for your page…I’ve learned a lot and truly appreciate it. I’d love to see you teach us some Arnold songs…that gorgeous wobbly guitar in Windsor Park!
Since I can't have a second guitar in the chorus I like to switch pickups just before the D part with the G# note added for more impact.
Amazing to see how they do it. I love watching them play. But I came along to ask who's producing your videos these days. They're really looking good. I mean I never bought one of those cats, but I get them.
Fantastic- would love it if you did some Swervedriver.
More shoegaze please!
This is the greatest record of all time.
This is an amazing video. I’m a huge fan of this music and have been for decades. I’ve also been trying to recreate the sound for decades and never quite got it. So the moment of genius for me from this vid was reverse the FX chain, so the timed effects are at the beginning. I’d have never of thought of that! It goes against all normal theory of FX and yet it’s so obvious once you realise. Can’t heap enough praise on this vid. Amazingly detailed, produced and engaging. 10/ 10. In terms other music, some tracks from Going Blank Again, Spooky - Lush, or just general style vids for Swervedriver, Chapterhouse and Slowdive would be great. P.S. might be wrong, but I think the first tremolo strumming for the post-punk/ gaze genre might have been Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau’s?
I bought that album when it came out ... and listened to it once. Love your channel though.
Thanks
Your attention to detail and excellent ear are legendary. Can I request “Hunted By a Freak” by Mogwai?
This was awesome! If this isn’t the perfect reason for me to finally build a big muff clone, I don’t know what would be. I’m just wondering whether a Duesenberg Les Trem would do the trick for something like this too? I’ve never been much of a trem person, so that’s the best I could do without buying a new guitar. In any case, keep it up, I would love to see more shoegaze stuff!
Tremendous...as usual.
Great video, faithful tone to the original - as always. . My guess is it's a lydian sound of a D Major 7 #11
Love the shoegaze, but do you think you could look at pavement and slint in the future? Definitely more shoegaze too tho
