@arturkoriakin1766 yeah, Mike is obviously all about that. Luke, on the other hand, not so much. In all fairness to Luke, he has other options to make a nice living, whereas Mike is pretty limited. Maybe he could carve out a niche as an enforcer for the mob, but his potential revenue streams are more limiter. Both are products of circumstance.

@@kevinquartemont2313 I noticed that too. At some point Perry hit Rockhold with a couple strong AF body shots... Rockhold started quickly moving away (side to side). He got hit in the body again and you could see him quit at that point. I didn't expect the end to come so soon after that, but I knew Rockhold had no chance of winning after that. He already mentally quit the fight.

That is an understatement. Perry is an animal. I can't see any of these former UFC guys after Eddie and Luke wanting any part of Mike. They need to find some real brawlers to deal with him. Smaller guys like that have an advantage, duck your head and come in swinging. Taller guys knuckles hit the skull and it either jams up your knuckles or breaks your hand alotogether. I screwed up two fingers and it took almost a year for my hand to be totally right after a street fight I won because I did just that. The tape helps a bit but you either have to accept your hands are gonna be messed up or throw to the body first to open up the clean shot to the face.

Once his body started to decline, his ego forbade him to change his approach- the guy's a world class grappler ffs- but instead continued with his hands down, cocky approach even with a compromised chin. Luke is a millionaire. A million dollars is a lot of money and can set up the average person for life without working. Luke most likely has a few million under his name. What people don't understand is that a lot of athletes and celebrities just don't know how to stop spending money and living well beyond their means. Saying that just cos you're a UFC "Star" means that you should be set up for life and putting all the blame on the UFC is as hilarious as Sydney Sweeney complaining about how she has to act more because one acting gig every 6 months isn't enough for her to live her lavish lifestyle living in her 3+ million dollar mansion.

Did you watch the whole fight? He broke a tooth and quit. Dan Henderson once pulled multiple front teeth out of his mouth guard and kept fighting. It’s not like Rockhold has a glass chin. He’s pretty sturdy, but as a fighter he’s a quitter with a successful day job. He doesn’t think he has to take punishment . Perry on the other hand, took a bomb from Rockhold and kept fighting to eventually make Rockhold quit.

It's boxing without gloves. But because gloves protect your hands, the game is quite different. Your can't fire 100% onto someone's face, because if you hit the head on the wrong spot, your break your knuckles. So you have to go for more body shots and strategically and precisely aim and time your head shots.
