Ever wondered why we put shims between the shock and the shock tower as well as the lower arm? Wonder no more - in this video I will explain exactly why, and how it works!

    Once I have sorted out shock springs, oil, and initial angle I might get to look at this haha. I'm amazed at what can actually make a difference and watching you guys race I can see why you explore all possibilities.

    Have you made a video about the shock positions, mainly the differences between the ULP, SLP, and the lower mounting positions on the T4'20 & 21 arms?

    Hi Alexander. you said to make the shock vertical to the ground, would you take the angle of the wishbone into consideration?

    Yes, the wheelbase of the car will affect the shock angle, hence why you need to shim the shock accordingly when you make a wheelbase change.

    @@hagberg I guess Kevin referred to a possible kickup. According to your theory, it would make sense to shim the shock in that way, that it´s working 90° to the wishbone movement again. But great insight, thanks for sharing.
