Okay so the flutes and the trumpets are kind of "rivals" at my school and one day all the trumpets made signs that said "FLUTES ARE WEAK" and stood up on their chairs chanting it during a song. The band director laughed about it and it was great

Hah, you'd be surprised how much air Tuba uses, they use about the same, to be honest. Mhm

OH man I played in my friend's wedding and that totally happened! Super strong wind going directly down my flute, I had to play with my back to everyone otherwise there was no sound whatsoever lol

@FlutebyLilia I swear, it's the love/hate relationship we have as musicians! I'm surprised they didn't make any comments about doing that Prokokiev run to the high D, or his Classical Symphony.
