Awesome Adam, I scuba-dived this wreck but in the 90's. I think my Dad told me they removed the top of the Antipolis after it was wrecked. Thanks for sharing, appreciate your posts.

Yes, they removed it finally after a billion cops were called lol...apparently some of the cops even joined the parties HAHA

That part with the pipes is a heat exchanger. Probably for steam or to pre heat the crude oil the engines run on

There were 2 ships that broke loose ... the other was the Romelia that came to rest at Llandudno. Cannot recall what they did with that one ... also got cut down to the waterline like the Antipolis?

Apparently that section that washed up is from the rear (stern) of the ship. If that wreck had occurred in more modern times the authorities would have required the full removal of the wreck, not just the parts that were visible above the water. BTW I've always said its name as "an-tip-olis", but I'm not Greek so that might not be correct either.
