Another class delivery! Great content, once again from the mother city.
The oldest prison in South Africa is in the Castle. It dates back to the time that the castle was build.

The castle never had a prison. Its a myth. The so called prison dungeon was use to store food, never prisoners. Dont believe the tourguides!
Waited for this to be uploaded - so awesome!!!
i visted the prison multiple times before it was converted to a modern building. i saw it abandoned but maintained for tours .
I do want to and should have been there… love you and Matt! 🤣
Love the work😎, don't let the haters get you down. Hope to see you hit 50 000, then 100 000, then 1 000 000 subs and beyond! 💪
I was a security guard here (graduate school of business and the hotel) for 2 years and this place is creepy AF at night around the treadmill and the roof
It seems long ago, but it is just yesterday. My grandfather was born in 1902.
$#!+ I'm a born and bred Capetonian and I didn't even know places like these still exists thanks for sharing
So interesting!
interesting
a load of BS... In Malmesbury there is one dating back to 1886 and one 1908 under the free mason temple , so please get your facts straight

@@user-ho8re8pm8iRudely fact checking budding youtubers has become a past time for many across the land. I guess saying something along the lines of 'I think you may have made a mistake...' is a lot more tiring than calling it a load of BS. At least he said please at the end🤷 Nonetheless, its a great video, even if it isn't the oldest prison, still a nice POV regarding the history of the first international gateway to this place we call home😊

Is Malmesbury in Cape Town?

@@Kaang_Plays nope, it's outside the city limits so I guess you could technically include it in a nice way, but if people want to be rude, this obviously doesn't matter.
