As a Canadian I appreciate your help in proxy. Hopefully one day it would be easier. Funny though we can buy those type of knives at any Canadian Knife stores but you have to do that to ship them.

Thanks I appreciate it bud, I was impressed by the wrap job myself haha they didn't even want to bother cutting through all the layers to begin with so I got it as you sent it. Wish I could say the same for the 9 or 10 knives that customs agents are probably using as their own to cut open these packages lol cheers

No. I also ship with the blade in the handle. Ups worldwide seems to be a good way to go. And in a mailer

@@LeftyEDC I reside in Canada BC,my brother is stateside,my plan is to have my brother ship out two ram-lock models from microtech and one hogue Deka,what would be the best option for shipping ,as you mention UPS ,what about FedEx. And should we remove blade from scales shipping with ups or fedex?

@@garyd395i always use UPS Worldwide. Not standard. Worldwide. If you can take it apart you should since ram locks will be easy to wrist open and that is what they check for. Take the knives apart, then assemble the handle like normal just without the blade. Blue tape the blade all over for safety. Pack it all up in original box. Leave out any invoices or stickers or anything. Ship in a bubble mailer, not box, tape it to hell and back. Make sure you place both the shipping label and the pack slip for customs on the outside of the box. I mark it a gift (assuming it is) and as a Pocket Tool. If you want more detail on exactly what i mark everything customs wise shoot me an email or something.

Are the Corgi's that are released now (July '23) the same internally as yours here? My Button luck flew off and I took it apart and I dont have washers and it just seems different internally.

Hey lefty, when shipping to Canada I would recommend usps if the knife has to go through customs. UPS has hidden fees(customs duty fees plus their fee for putting it through customs). Use usps to reduce the fees for the receiver by half! USPS and Canada Post are the same so they do not add extra duty fees to the package (although they are slow and unreliable).

I agree. Never use UPS to ship to Canada. We get killed in their outrageous fees.

As a Canadian I would definitely rather pay extra fees when using UPS, FedEx or DHL than trusting my knives to USPS/Canada Post. Using USPS is a good way to have a knife seized at the border.

​@@SharpenedBlade0 Not saying to not use couriers, just not UPS. UPS charges the highest brokerage fees of the bunch. Use anything other then UPS to ship to Canada. Fedex and even DHL is better.

@@SharpenedBlade0 any good stories for us? I personally haven’t had any issues with knives being seized at the border and I’ve used all the main providers (fedex, usps, ups, dhl). However, I only purchase Canada legal knives and declare them as such on my customs forms.
