TBH, the reason why the enemy spawned in their planes is because they saw that the Shilka was killed, which gave them confidence to take out CAS.

@@PorWik actually true. Sometimes i use a lowtier plane like the i-153 or i-16 because just bopping up and down makes me invincible against even 3 radar AA's at once, and seeing them killed by an ally attacker because they were distracted feels nice

Shilka showed itself very well in Syria (although it was created as an air defense), but now we have a Terminator with armor like a tank

At this point, I can't tell if the thumbnail is an actual vehicle added to WT, a photoshop monstrosity, or a Sprockets creation.

Shilkas were plentiful in every mission when I was young and playing Gunship 2000 on my brother's Amiga. That box-turret is so memorable.

I operate APCs and it’s cool to see you using tactics that translate to real life situations and wether or not you try or it’s just you doing idk but it’s cool to see that. Ik it’s just a game but still. I hope you see this

I used to play a lot of combat flight sims growing up (mainly the ones by MicroProse, but others, too), and while flying missions in those games...THIS FUCKING THING was my bane. Missiles were fine, I had chaff and flares. but if I had to fly low, the ZSU-23-4 was the stuff of nightmares. I carried this into my time in the Air Force, and despite far more capable threats existing, my eternal hate boner for the ZSU-23-4 trumped all. Even watching this video and just looking at this thing causes me anxiety. I think it's because I took so much damage from it in realistic video games, and I always expected to ACTUALLY face it one day...and so the damned thing stuck with me forever, even after I vomited my way out of USAF UPT.

Shilkas in DCS are scary as fuuuu... heck (swear box after all) if you're in the A-10. All that armour is just enough to survive a short burst, just barely, if it hits the fuselage in the right place. Best way to deal with them is with Mavericks from 10k feet. I do not look forward to tangling with the Shilka on War Thunder. Let's just hope I get lucky and there's only one and he likes rockets. Fun but scary video Phly

Falcon is able to pen leopards in front with ease, it’s more of a tank hunter than an spaa. Shilka can’t pen anything armored better than a beef can. It’s a better spaa, and waaaay worse overall. 8.0 for falcon is even better, more bumps and marders to chew through.

Hey phly, hate to be that person but can you make a really short video addressing the new BR changes that were just announced on the forums? They're awful for both ground and air (MiG-21 to 9.0, A-4E and G91 to 8.3, spitfire to 7.0 etc), and I'm worried that the only way gaijin will take any serious action to a: not make all of these changes go live and b: address and change their method of adjusting BRs, is if a youtuber with a large amount of influence addresses them. Since the new updates I've felt the game was working way better with dlss on than before, they must have done something with that. My laptop doesn't even get loud at all now. 1440p, all max settings, DLSS on Quality and my laptop isn't screaming like as if I put it into an oven
