Had the same idea but the strela system was mounted on the MT-LB and the BTR

If you want ZSU-23-4/37-2's radar can search 360°, just press Y/1/7. The radar can rotate 360° for searching some flying objects, it's not good as Gepard or M247 radar but still works well👍

The sad issue with this is that it takes forever for the radar to fully cover the 360°, meaning that it's more useful to just keep the narrow cone and just traverse your turret to make scanning the sky much faster

Yes, probably one of the best early radar SPAAs the firepower is insane!

I use the radar in LoS mode, I find it better for hiding so there's no movement

Best in the tier. If you play 8.0 or under with it you Will mostly verse propeler planes which are very easy to take down. I make Banks with this

I just bought the shilka yesterday lol. It is fun, not that effective and radar is shitty somehow, but hey it works. Its fine against planes and takes only a few bursts, shilka prefers volume of fire so you wouldn't be able to go against ground targets, but with the amount of bullets, every plane will get ripped apart inside 3km

Radar is way better than the m163 imo

ZSU's radar can rotate 360°for searching flying objects but I don't remember how to do it. Tomorrow I will check.

it can only search witthin a certain angle. it cannot search, 360°. however, the radar can technicly rotate 360°, you can see this by locking someone and rotating your turret away. wierd how the russians did not design it to spin 3 times as fast and 360°, but what do i know.

@@ofekk213 bring ZSU-23-4 or ZSU-37-2 to testdrive, then Y/1/7, you will see radar can rotate 360° by itself, it can search flying objects. Not good as Gepard or M247 but it still work well.

I like it for the tracers it shoots

There actually an option for the radar to turn 360 or 2 degree but the speed is slow, so you might aswell turn the whole turret

There is one more aswell where the radar stays stantionary. I prefer this because it makes getting a radar lock easier.

what about it? At the very least they should be the same br (8.0) since the Yenisei is better at being a multirole TD/SPAA vehicle and the Shilka is just a way better SPAA. Yenisei is a good AA but not nearly as effective as the Shilka. I still like it better though

It's worth it, the fuzed shells one shot everything air wise and you're one of the few aa that can fire at things 10km without having to lock a missile and wait. Ontop of that later on you can obtain apdfs and brawl when shit goes sideways ,but with limited ability only 12 apdfs. If you wanna be sneaki you can lock a target fire and immediately shot your radar off so they have no idea you fired

Sako how to lock air target in that green cube? Radar auto lock in 3 km range or there is a button to lock target? I just got that SPAA and still learning

Theres a radar lock key binding. You have to set it up I think (or maybe it already has default values).

If you press the radar lock button while in the gun sight looking at a plane it will lock what you’re looking at

how do you use thermal binoculars? i saw you use them in your t72av video, and i cant figure out how

It was patched now you have to the commanders sight instead of binoculars and the vehicle needs to have thermals for the commander obviously

These are not the same guns as on soviet jets. They fire faster 23mm shells, similar to il-2's guns with around 1000m/s of muzzle velocity, as opposed to 700m/s shells on soviet jets.
