Shift work often disrupts the natural sleep-wake cycle, leading to insomnia and other sleep disorders. This condition, commonly known as shift work sleep disorder (SWSD), primarily affects individuals who work non-traditional hours, including early mornings, nights, or rotating shifts. The prevalence of insomnia among shift workers is considerably higher compared to those with regular daytime work schedules.
