Because he is not "doping" himself. He is healing himself naturally. To say it in simpler terms, a workout breaks down your muscles, and then rebuilds them depending on the workout regime. My brother is a physical trainer and I got this explanation from him. In Usato's case, when his muscles breakdown, he instantly heals them, instead of waiting a couple days to recover like normal people would. So, Rose is taking advantage of his healing to accelerate his body and muscle development. He can even push beyond his natural limit since he can heal.

@@jamespryor5967 Main difference is it's still technically natural since all he's doing is speeding up the bodies natural healing process, though unlike Steroids which reck your body after a while, this has no such side effect.

@@thefanwithoutaface8105 Doping, in athletics, _can_ refer to steroids or other performance enhancing drugs, but also refers to other methods, such as oxygenating one’s blood before a race. The use of healing magic would be analogous to this type of doping.

I love that the king, Welchie and everyone else within the castle were trying their damn best to protect Usato from Rose hahahahahaha, normally I don't like most king characters in isekais, but this one goes up on my list lol

I like how the kingdom was trying so hard to save Usato from his fate of joining Rose's rescue squad.

It's almost unsettling how everyone seems so nice in this anime. Both heroes, the princess, the king, knight commander, even Rose and her crew, they all seem like genuinely good people so far.

The series is just so fun, and it has a surprising amount of details, one that caught my eye inmediately, was in ep 2 when usato started his running routine, the first day he is running, his shoes are normal, by the next, these are in absolute tatters due to the harshness, by the next day again, he has the same shoes as the others or when Rose and Sigrus are talking, when she hold his armor, Rose hand bent the wrist armor like a puff, its something so simple, but you love to see details that tell the team behind enjoys the series too

well to be fair Rose solved main issue of pretty much most of healers- healers always portrayed as being the weakest phisicaly.

The animators did a great job selling the "accidentally transported" part when he steps into the forming magic circle.

If serving as a navy corpsman on the frontlines with the Marines was an anime.

I’m so glad you’re covering this one, I’ve really liked it so far and today’s episode was even better than the first. Plus I admit, Rose already has my vote for waifu of the year for 2024. Needless to say I love this so far and gonna keep watching every week

Its a bit sad just about everyone seems to be skipping/ ignoring this show as a manga reader I know this is actually a pretty good isekai definitely one of the best this season.

Why do I have a feeling "the wrong way" will be proven when Usato ends up as frontline tank while the other 2 heroes are more in the back supporting him with dps 🤣

God I love this series. I've been reading the manga for a bit now and it's an absolute pleasure. I never thought of it's title as a smartphone esq idea. But I can see it now that you mention it. I think my favorite part is that this series really is like that whole "anime healers vs western healers" idea. But then it cranks the western healer idea to the absolute max. And also takes advantage of some physical functions in really fun but like on paper "plausible." It's absolute joy of a series.

This is a reaction comedy. At least that's how I see it. Everybody is just reacting to their situation. Whereas it's Hero Boy looking at things calmly, or Chuuni Thunder Girl drooling over thunder magic and Usato's new abs. Or better yet, Rose reacting at a prospective -victim- candidate for being her right-hand man, and Usato vowing to show that green-haired beast of a woman he ain't breaking down. It's how they react. And how WE react. Me, I was dying. Seeing Usato go through extreme bootcamp. Him fighting for his lunch. Rose kicking him into high gear (literally). Usato leaving his Earth friends and the princess speechless at the sight of his "light workout". And finally, Rose throwing Usato into the deep end. Again, literally. This show does not ask for permission, it does not apologize. You want magic? You got it. You want laughs? You got them. You don't like it? Fine. You love it? Hell yeah. I read the manga, and I loved every page of it. I'm now watching the anime, and I'm loving every second of it. And I'm definitely checking your reactions. Because, as I said, this is a reaction comedy. Man, Fridays are again packed to the gills with good anime. Sasaki and Pi-chan, Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic, Unwanted Undead Adventurer, The Weakest Tamer (nice adaptation of a nice story), and of course, Frieren. We are eating well.

I've been telling myself for the past week that this show is really under-appreciated and have been trying to convince other streamers to watch it.

This anime is my new favorite 🤣🤣 usato is perfect and the 2 week day to day but also seeing him become a beast was awesome !

I decided to check this one out because I knew the LN' character designer. And I do not regret a slightest! Rose is badass af but pretty scary too 😱 Usato, Inumaki and Kazuki's dynamic is so silly, but that's why I love it 😌 This show definitely catch my interest, can't wait to see more of this greatness 👀🔥

Good recommendation. I just watched the first 2 episodes. Loved it. I really like the idea of a Reacue Team in a fantasy world full of adventurers... a bit like the USAF Pararescue teams in our own world. Oh no, we're going to die... oh look, here comes Rose! Rose is awesome 😊

In my honest opinion, I would rather be reincarnated than summoned into a magical world because my current body won't be useful in a battle! So I rather start over from scratch!

Almost dropped it but I saw your video thumbnail and decided to give episode 2 a chance. Episode 1 just felt really basic. But the comedy and creativity of Ep 2 immediately made me a fan. Just wanted to say thanks!

I did recommend you this one. From the trailer I wasn't expecting much considering the title, but the art style popped out and the trailer sold me. It had comedy but it wasn't over the top comedy and it had some serious undertones. The OP song is also a bop really love that opening and the ed is quite nice to listen to as well. But I'm really enjoying this one. Probably a little bit more than Instant Death Ability. This series can really be like an 8.5 or 9/10 by the end but so far it's 10/10 for enjoyment. The weakest part is probably the beginning of ep 1 but it wasn't bad like you said. I enjoyed the dynamic and while how they met seems a bit odd and how they just chatted casually like they were long time friends, but I can see that them two were friendly people and they just want to hang out with whoever so I apprichiated that. Our MC couldn't hear the bells as they got summoned which meant he wasn't a hero and this plot is familiar but this time the King, the princess, the townspeople, Rose and even her goons don't seem to have any alterior motives which could always change but I like how we avoided the usual tropes and how our charachters have some logic about them. Our girl Suzune was thrilled to be there but our guy Kazuki was less so. I like how the King pleads instead of being Trash from Shield Hero being a douch. He even wanted to protect our boy from Rose's hellish training and oh boy is it rough. The first 12 days he did running until he was litteraly dying but she healed him so he can keep running. Then the training with damn cinderblocks with her on top and he's just being spiteful with her but he's working hard to be useful. And I wanna talk about Usato, he didn't have to do any of this. He could've slacked off somewhere and enjoyed life until his two buddies clear the demon lord but its actually great seeing him break his back to get better and help them out. The comedy is great, I love the faces and the way they use the art to visualise the comedy. Like when one of his teammates ate his food because he went to get some water and then later he gave him some food and Usato was having none of it. Went immediately to fight him. Funny asf ngl. I'm loving this series and I'm glad you are too... Rose best girl of the season and defo in the top 10 of the year so far.

Sleeper hit of the season. Sasaki and Peeps is also great.

この原作のライトノベルの単行本版はかなり売れていて、Web小説発の作品としてもかなりよい部類の作品です。 自分で観てもアニメ化にはもってこいの作品だったな と思いました。 この作品は安心して観ていいと思います。 少年マンガっぽい雰囲気があって見ごたえあると思います。 追記ですが、 この作品は原作が割りと古い部類の作品なので、2000代〜2010年代の雰囲気があるなと思ったら、その感覚は合ってます。

Im surprisingly liking 'sasaski to pii' in this season. Its like a mixture of that anime where the girl was getting retirement money from trading while world traveling, and some modern sci-fi anime with psychics and gevernment scemes. Overall this seems like a really good saeson

I’ve liked this one so far as well. It’s turned out to be a lot more interesting than I thought it would be when I read the synopsis for it. This season really has a lot of good anime

Happy to see you cover this show. I am big fan of novel for years, so I was bit sad with how little exposure it got. Anyway Rose is best and show itself is really fresh without putting some edgy twist. You don't see that often and when everything is subversive... nothing is!

@MALICEM12 I think it had more to do with personality and color theory rather than her name, although I guess having a name like Rose might have altered my perception as well. 🤣

Yep, I agree. This was better than what I was expecting. Actually, there are a few other titles that gave me similar impression. This season is surprisingly filled with better than average animes.

Kinda surprising that you don't like the "before getting summon" part. I quite like it, aside from telling us that the 2 Heroes is pretty chill and easy to befriend with it's also help set up the other 2 characters pretty well. We see how the girl become the Isekai otaku even without the show telling us straight, she's suffering from success she's too perfect in every way that she immediately complete any goals she set for herself, that's why she's yearning for something beyond this world and probably why she get addicted to Isekai genre. She even say some weeb ass lines like "it must be fate that we get to talk like this" or "I feel like I don't belong in this world". For the guy, even tho most of his personality would be shown after they get summon, the before summon scene still show that he's genuinely a good guy.

I have catch up to the manga. Thie concept is straightfoward but the writing is very great.

When the girl showed her weeb side plus Usato's reaction and dommy mommy shows up, I was sold. This show is a gem and is going to be both fun and hilarious

I am so happy with the adaptation so far...this Manga is good on it's own but combined with great adaptation, it ASCEND to the top of this season and beyond!

manga reader from years back. Definitely fun & great manga overall. So far its been the same but idk how far there gonna get with 13 ep. I get a hint in the opening lets see how it goes.

@@xtremegaming9943 yeah is definitely covering the material. the manga was a slow burn. it was a monthly release just glad it got an adaptation. Now idk if the youtube reviewers will pick up on it. 1) it was a sleeper 2) the views wont be high at the beginning

@@christopherlozada6411 the good thing is the LNs are finished... They've been finished for a good while and it's weird it only just now got an anime when the novels started in 2016. Luckily there is a spin-off LN in the works now too. Another unfortunate thing is that only 3 of the 12 LNs have been translated so if the anime covers all 3 LNs which it may not considering the pacing is actually really good thus far, there's gonna be a wait to read the next part of the story.

@@christopherlozada6411 I searched it up when I was looking to see how the characters were called again when I found out the LNs were finished and it's actually a respectable run being only 12 LNs

This was another good episode of The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic imho. I think the comedy has continued to be fun and I'm enjoying the different personalities of the 3 leads... I don't think you were wrong to reference Cautious Hero, cause a lot of the exaggerated anime faces in this episode remind me a lot of that series. Also, the lead female Suzune's seemingly one-sided attraction to Usato reminds me of how the relationship between the MCs of that series as well so I think Usato and Suzune is likely the OTP, with Kazuki and Princess Celia as a side ship. Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing Usato's adventurers begin now that he has seemingly been cast out of the nest, so-to-speak.

Watching this one in dub. I prefer dub for series like this :p more relaxing popcorn comedy that way

Seems to be a common theme this anime season, where the first episode of somthing is good but I'm still on the fence, but the second episode absolutely pulls me in hook, line and sinker. We're not even that far into the anime season yet and I can confidently say that Rose is easily the best girl of Winter 2024 anime.

I watched based on the trailer and the healer person. I swear I thought it was a guy and when they said it was a chick. I was like dam that one Buffy chick but I really enjoyed this and I can't wait for more
