This is such a powerful duet. I love Sting and The Police, and Cheryl Crow. I always get chills when I listen and watch the video. As a grown man, it always makes me cry in a happy way…but that’s a good thing!

The ending part of this song where Sting hugs Sheryl gets me every time.

I think it was 1993 when I met Sheryl Crow for an interview in Cologne, Germany, where she was playing at the Luxor club. I was at journalism school and her first album Tuesday Night Music Club had just been released. There were not many people, mostly record company guys. But her songs were just beautiful. And she had that lovely, kind, free-spirited, warm-hearted, easy going and down to earth personality, while we had a beer together. No arrogance at all. What I love about her? After all her success she still seems to be that good hearted person today. She's so not fucked up, and that's a great thing these days, isn't it? ❤

I forgot all about this duet of a gem until Bill Maher mentioned it on his podcast.

She has had an enduring career going back nearly 30 years in the spotlight. She has hits in multiple genres/categories and has written songs for other superstars including Celine Dion and Stevie Nicks. She was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year. I’d say she has been noticed and is doing just fine!

(2006-2020) 14 years later, IMHO, this is still the GREATEST DUET of a man and woman musical artist.

Sheryl I listen to this song every day, it fills me with love and I cry, you were an ideal couple with Sting, you had a love for music. My brother died of cancer a month and a half ago, a month of April and I listened to this song and dedicated it to him, I love you with all my feelings 🌹🌹🌹❤️💔❤️‍

2023. I don't hear this song on the radio anymore. But it was so good to hear this song over 10 years ago!! Grateful to what life has given me.

I never tire of this beautiful song! When I first saw the video I was jealous of Sheryl at the end when they hug. I didn’t know they were friends. I love when Sting harmonizes. And that he plays the old school base. Those kids were so lucky to play with them! Such an honor and they’ll always remember it.

Such a beautiful song! I first heard this at a 99 cent store… there for my fur babies stuff. All I heard was “Butterflies are free to fly.., “ and I stopped and listened to the rest of the song! Googled that phrase and FOUND IT!!! Have shared it with so many people, but this song is for my husband… “my Angels and demons reappeared…” I have always been there on his side… just a fantastic song!

What a man, wht a musician, what a voice. Sting is the the most distictive singer, whatever he does it is outstanding. Even this song which is very predictable lives from his voice. He gives life to music. What a wonderful time to be on this earth!

I absolutely love this song

It's therapeutic when our feelings can be verbalised in the form of lyrics and then carried into our psyche through melody.

me, me here - still listening, still so thankful for songs like this and what shining moments they occupy in our memories..

One of the best songs ever written.

the only song we've listened to in a 2-day long drive. I missed the day and the journey on that trip.

IMHO, this is still the greatest duet ever done in slow music...Thank you Sting & Sheryl for helping me through real, difficult times in my life when hearing this eternal tune every time and everywhere!

I listened to this over and again while in the hospital for a month after being run over by a Ford F150 on my bicycle.

Sheryl Crow is a fantastic singer who always has something to say about this life in her songs. She stands with the giants of the past in my humble opinion and reminds me greatly of England's Kate Bush for her originality and unmatched talent.
