This song goes hard, it reminds me of 80s and Rick James. He should have definitely come put with this in '84-89. This is def a total 80s bop.🙋🏽♀️🔥🔥

I think he should have come out in the 1980’s; the musical sound and his choreography reminds me more of the early-mid ‘80’s. By the mid 90’s, a different sound and choreography had taken place.

VERY good observation. Never thought of that. This clip REAKS 1980s. Sherman’s voice is buried under the production. I’m also guessing the women onstage are NOT the ones singing on the track either.

This track wasn't that bad. It had a New Jack Swing beat to it. A sad irony is that both Sherman (July 2012) and Don (Feb 2012) died the same year.

Crazy, true recall. Ready? : It was 1992-ish? I think? I was 21, 22? Sunny weekend afternoon, I’m walking into a big, local music store to shop for CDs -probably to play on my new Sony Discman with the latest 3-sec playback buffer- and there I see at a table, sitting down alone, facing the front door, is THE Sherman Hensley! I think he was there to sign his new CD for fans? But no one was there. No one was around him at all. Nevertheless, I recognized him, but was stunned and confused and didn’t know how to act, especially with him being a celebrity, alone, and me not knowing that he was also a musician. I simply can’t remember if I talked to him or not because I remember more how I felt than what I did. But I want to say maybe I did approach him? Did I ask him, foolishly, star-struck, what he was doing there? Did I shyly avoid the awkwardness altogether? I dunnow. I regret whatever I did or didn’t do that day because I know I didn’t flatter him enough to remember any favorable details of this missed opportunity to really gush. Looking back, I should have gushed. Hard. What an impact he had on us, right??!! Thank you for taking a moment to read my long comment!
