Truth be told, difference in skin color is taught. It's pretty much instigated and learned by those that desire to continuously stir the pot of madness. I'm almost certain that those who have a problem with anyone with dark skin, has no problem with taking it up with whomever is in charge of creation. Or do they.....

I place the blame squarely on the shoulders of the racist cemetery worker. I hope other graveyards look through their bylaws to make sure some other racist can't do the same thing to another grieving family. "I'm just following the rules" 🙄 RIP Sir. I didn't even think about that!!! Your so right. I bet he is so proud of his family for bringing this to everyone's attention and getting the law changed. RIP Sir you have done so much good. 😢😢
My great grandmother isn't buried with the family because she wasn't "white". When my white grandfather passed after her, the cemetery managers were kind and loving and he was buried next to her in the, as they called it, colored cemetery. This was over 75 years ago. I'm glad the board changed the rules, but it was a painful reminder how it used to be.
This makes my blood boil. Shame on the cemetary personnel. RIP Daryl Simeon. It doesn't matter where you are planted if you go right into the presence of God.

Sending my condolences to him and his family. How vile people are becoming. We need to do better and do it now. No one should be judged on their skin color, nationality, weight and more. We were created differently for reason and should think before we speak.

How disgraceful is this, this man was good enough to risk his life for every call he took but not good enough to be laid to rest upon those grounds.. I hope no one goes to that cemetery and yes it was wrote in the 1950s but they could have changed it way before this man lost his life to cancer. I’m truly sorry for this wonderful man’s family, may he rest in peace.

When you're a 'white cemetery ' with old laws from the 50's you don't expect or realize this would come up so you don't even think about old laws from way back then...Till it happens for the first time...This could happen at any cemetery across this country...We had segregation laws on the books...It was not a good time or right but it was a time period that had these..This was sad because it took this case to bring it to light...We had to remove these laws but this could happen in any rural area...

@@mariemoore6406 I’m sure he wasn’t the first person to be turned away, this family was just the first was who spoke out against it, drawing more attention. .. most grieving families just want it to be all over after their loved one has passed. But since he made it clear that this is where he wanted to be after death, the family was left with these stupid laws passed down in 1950 , which are illegal today in 2023. Falls under the segregationist law.
