About The Big Bang Theory:
Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists, the kind of ''beautiful minds'' that understand how the universe works. But none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women. All this begins to change when a free-spirited beauty named Penny moves in next door. Starring Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik, and Melissa Rauch. Created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady.

I know the joke is Mary being, arguably, offensive to Raj and Howard due to their religion, but she's actually being very respectful in what she's saying, trying to continually make sure they feel comfortable, etc. She's doing her best, even if a lot of people now a days wouldn't consider that enough.

@flyhyland Oh really what about when the b*tch asked if "you" people believe that chicken is magic. That was extremely racist. They all think all indians are extremely backward primitive tribal villagers. May she burn in hell for all eternity for that! She is extremely rude and extremely offensive just like her degenerate hellspawn Sheldon. May they both burn in hell for all eternity!

They loaded her down with every conceivable stereotypical fundamentalist tic, yet she still can across as one of the kindest characters in the series. And for all the literalists out there, the TBBT scripts were littered with lines about Sheldon's father that had nothing to do with the later show, like fighting a bobcat, or the family having a dog.

The one person on Earth that knows best how to handle him. You want her to fix a Sheldon problem, you do what she says, lol. I mean, I appreciate the hunting joke at the end, because it was really funny, but Leonard specifically did the opposite of what she said to do, even though she's there for the specific reason of turning him around and making him see sense. Why'd you even do invite her in the first place if you're not gonna listen to her?

Well in this situation you are 100% correct, cause it's Sheldon but you know in real life with normal people like you and me, I believe close friends understand us way better than our own family because usually we behave differently in front of our parents and try to hide our dark secrets from them. On the other hand, with friends we behave as what we really are! So some friends can have better understanding of how to handle a friend, but of course it's not the case with Sheldon!!!

@@okfalcon6444 'in some ways he’s very predictable.' Sheldon is INCREDIBLY predictable. His Hollywood OCD means people know where he is and what he's doing at all times because he has a schedule. Penny even uses that to her advantage when they're feuding. Meanwhile, his lack of any kind of growth between childhood and adulthood means his mother knows exactly how his mind works.

*you don’t hunt do you?* I kind of wish they made an episode about Mary possibly learning hunting on young Sheldon. Because since she’s so uptight about things, it be nice to see why and how she’d know anything about hunting.

Can we appreciate how all the characters are diverse in their origins? leonard is from the east coast (jersey), Sheldon from the south (texas), Howard from california (west), penny (nebraska, midwest, north), and raj the indian foreigner. This is what I call an american sitcom!

That is not really diverse anymore. Raj is the only main character who isn’t white. Real diversity for instance would be: 1. Sheldon was Mexican 2. Leonard was from Ethiopia 3. Howard was Chinese 4. Raj remains Indian 5. Penny remains a Midwestern NONHISPANIC White lady

Those who keep saying : so many mistakes, this isn’t how it is in Young Sheldon Well, guess what, this scene was written years before Young Sheldon was even thought of ! And it’s pretty difficult to perfectly plan a work of fiction for at least 10 seasons and a 5 seasons spin-off without any plot holes or anachronism because when they start writing the show, they can’t even be certain that this will go beyond the 1st season ! So they can’t decide « Oh my, we can’t mention a dog because in 2 seasons we’re gonna mention he hates dogs and in 15 years, we’re gonna write the spin-off without a dog ! » or remember 4 seasons later « wait, we can’t make him hate dogs for the plot of this episode , he mentioned 62 episodes ago that he had a dog ! » That’s how hard it is to write a very looooooooong work of fiction. And more importantly : it’s fiction ! Do you really expect to make as much sense as if it were reality ?

Also, keep in mind that Young Sheldon is a framed narrative, which means we're not seeing things happen in real time, but we're seeing things that the current-day Sheldon is recalling from his own memory.
