About Young Sheldon:
It’s 1989 and 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper has skipped four grades to start high school along with his less-intellectual older brother. As he struggles to be understood by his family, classmates and neighbors, his mother arms him with the best tool she can come up with: reminding bullies his dad is the football coach and his brother is on the team. His twin sister doesn’t share his exceptional mind, but she has a much clearer vision of what life has in store for the young genius.

Best show on the air right now!!!; To imagine having your life be documented like this as we all replay the moments of our lives in where we would have changed so many regrettable choices along with yearning for those great times with our loved ones; Jim’s narration over any scene involving the foreshadowing of George’s death or a scene involving Billy Sparks and his all too real part in each of our lives as we all know someone that we wish we would have treated better growing up destroys me and proves that television at its best can provoke us all to do better within our own families and world…on 5x05 right now and that score over where Missy shuts out her father just did me in with it’s realism and being so tinged with loss. It left me an emotional wreck and that’s how I know we’re in a golden age; Just a perfect cast and story being conveyed 💖👏

When YS went into production they chose to alter the characters of George and Mary and make them more loving parents, as reusing the character troupes established in TBBT would get pretty old pretty fast

I don't remember an episode Mary had a good moment with Missy/Georgie. Whenever Mary was working/attending to George being hospitalised, she had always ask Meemaw how the kids are doing & then question again regarding Sheldon. She get too cautious when Sheldon got a splinter when she just started working but when Sheldon wanted to work as a paperboy as a way to repay for the fridge, she got too worried. YS was basically Sheldon, *MANY* years after the end of TBBT and a father himself, having a "Come to Jesus moment (Bazinga)" about his dad and that his description/opinion of him in TBBT could not have been further from the truth. Did George Sr. have his faults? Of course he did. No father is perfect. But he did the best he could for his entire family and put them first, even at the cost of himself. And when the chips were down, he was always there for them to teach them right from wrong, love them, mentor them, and to both protect *AND* prepare them for the world. What more could you ask for from a father?

George undetstand sheldon more than mary does. Mary puts sheldon in an awkward position, he sees facts mary sees god. So he is confused among god and scientific facts. Also Mary justifies some of the ungodly thing she does so sheldon become more and more confuse.

It is a well spoken thing that George might not be the 'best dad' What is? Given the circumstances that life throws at us, bearing in mind George is represented as a working class father. Those who are able to be the best father they can be within the circumstances they are given, is better than most. Hell, on equal level with the best. He cared about his kids, he listened to them, and he did what he believed was best in his own perspective. That is more than a lot of people can say about their fathers.

George senior wasn't perfect, but he tried his best and he did everything he could to make sure his family had money and that they spoke to each other. If he were a single dad he probably would struggle a lot more, but he would more-likely rise up to the occasion than Mary. Mary... she's a devout zealot and sadly even when the church straight up abandons her and her family, she doesn't even stand up for them. Sheldon of all people does, Missy does, George junior doesn't give a fuck because he doesn't let shit get to him and he knows his family is great. Mary though, she may not be physically abusive and she may be the cook of the house as it was back then, but she damn well treats everyone like a puppet. "What's mine is mine and yours is mine and mine." - "What's right to me is right to God, because God said so." - She's fucking psychotic. Does this justify George senior cheating? Absolutely not, no one should cheat. He should have divorced her and asked for split/joint custody, though the courts would have probably seen Mary as a psycho and given him full/majority.

so far in season 7 looks like sheldon misunderstood what happened. But who knows maybe it was a fake out and George will cheat soon since mary is back in the church. But in ep4 sheldon did say that's why he adds 3 knocks so maybe it really was sheldon that misunderstood things.

@@SandwichTech_ i dont think so....its the last season and no way they r gonna shock ppl by destroying probably the most likable character in the whole show. Imo, they have successfully commected all the dots, including some of the more incriminating ones laid out by big bang theory in an ingenious manner.
