When you're young, you miss these interviews. Nice to see them. I saw Sheena once...at a Baptist University. She sang Sugar Walls. 😯 😂 As if they knew.

Other than knowing her hit Morning Train, a cultural touchstone of sorts, as most songs are that received massive radio air time, I’ve never really seen Sheena on any shows or know anything about her, except from this clip. My takeaway is she’s a doll, witty and quite charming. (That’d be the most 90 yr old man sounding description I’ve ever written about a pop star in her youth)

Yeah, she came across really well for that “late night” audience. Letterman can be a cantankerous interviewer-and you don’t want to get him in a foul mood. But she sparred well and didn’t take any guff from him. He liked that. Sheena’s a gem.

In an Outer Limits episode the future is dominated by Sheena Easton music, and her many imitators; thank God I won't be around to see it!!! An alternative future where all music is banned would be so much better! No music sounds more dated than 80's music; no music sounds more cheesy, more crass, more predictable, it's the last music on Earth future generations venerate, it's the very music that prevents true creativity from coming to the fore!
