Amazing to see Ivan blasting past all the other pampered classics on the track. No roof, pouring rain, in a crazy vintage, 10-litre aero-engined special...and going hell for leather. Love it.

When I trained as a motor mechanic in the 70s "Mr Timken" was quoted as saying to have 1 to 2 thou end float on your tapered roller bearings for wheel bearings . Obviously differentials and other specific applications differ.

Just brilliant, can't get enough.

1:02 I had the "honour" of watching (and photographing, no video) my 2002 Honda Civic 150i scroll from 199000 to 200000 and again from 299000 to 300000km. Both occasions the car was in identical running and looking condition (except for the inevitable supermarket rash). The only (apart from normal service items) new part I ever bought in 14 years for that car was a windscreen wiper link that wore out. The air-con was never re-gassed and still worked like a new one, no wheel bearings replaced, original clutch, zero oil leaks, it once stood still for 3 months (my error, I just kept forgetting to start it every once in a while), and it started right up and sat there purring away...fantastic car. The buyer couldn't believe the condition when I eventually sold it, for no other reason than it was used just less and less, and I needed money for my daughter to have an expensive dental operation.

I'm really enjoying watching your tour as I used to do the same thing myself years ago and all the memories of so many good times come back to me of the amazing cars and the wonderful people who own them and drive them, thank you both for doing such a good job and particular thanks to Suzy on the camera.

The production is totally down to Tania from the Ukraine, who has been working in Ivan's Shed for over a year now. She really deserves all the credit. All I do is provide some footage from the GoPro and keep Ivan in check!

The California is obviously a lot better than the 275 GTB NART Spyder (chassis #10) we used to have, which leaked like a sieve. We did the Swiss Lakes Classic with it, when we also had rain like this and had to buy waterproof trousers, as the rain poured in under the dashboard and from the bulkhead. Apparently they were built with no water sealing.

I’m only a fifth of the way into the video, it’s great; thoroughly enjoying it 👍

You two, are just the sweetest! If I put myself up for adoption, would you please be my parents! ❤ I’m all seriousness, I love your passion for everything, I love the fact that there you are driving the most expensive cars at these rallies, but still say how lovely all the other cars are, and show a real interest in what others are doing. Most people I have come across who own similar cars to you, are outright snobs, with no understanding about what it is for old vehicles to be a labour of love, for them it’s all about status. Unfortunately people like you are few and far between. Keep up the great work and these wonderful videos.. 😊

I want to be like Ivan when I grow up !

I’ve just found Shed Racing via Dom Chineas channel. What a revelation, absolutely love it. I’ve never wanted to be anyone else in my life but Ivan comes pretty damn close, what a legend, super interesting and some truly awesome cars. A lesson to us all no matter what age just get out there and have an adventure, not tomorrow, today!

Beauty, beauty and more beauty, and that is just the views. I often wish I had been born in Italy, my favourite beautiful country to travel around. They have had some mad weather in Italy this spring and early summer. I have been watching the cycling Giro de Italia and they have had lots of inclement weather, lightening and the kitchen sink thrown at them, very unpredictable.
