Ivan is a true treasure (and a character) and he seems to have known everyone who was anyone, back in the day. And he still does. He deserves to be seen, heard and remembered. And his under-viewed channel is brilliant.

I met Ivan in the ‘70’’s, and he was quite a character then! A national treasure!!!

I’ve been following Ivan on KZread for several years now and I have marcelled at his fabrication skills and his builds. I would hope that Ivan would have a in depth biography of his life done. He is an amazing person and his ability to still get out there and flog these cars is a testimony to his zeal. He reminds me a great deal of my late grandfather and his own fascinating live. I was thankful that he had written down his memoirs and also audio personal history. Once these people pass on we will have little to no connection to the histories they were a part of. Thank you for this interview and I’m looking forward to the second part

Ivan reminds a lot of Allen Millyard. Humility, enthusiasm, intelligence and engineering wisdom. Their willingness to explore and innovate, and showing respect to the originals, without getting too hung up on the 'purity' aspect, is very refreshing.

He may be slightly rich, but he is certainly no twat! Probably the most knowledgable man on motor racing this country has ever had. And a joy to listen to. I could for days let alone hours! Ivan Rocks!

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called "Abgasbespaßungsverbots- und Kontrollverordnung" in German.)
