I could listen to Ivan all day. This was better than anything on TV and better than 95% of other YouYube offerings Well done in capturing this piece of history and thank you for posting it.
Having been involved in professional racing many moons ago Ivan is the real deal. His modestly, understanding, ability and knowledge is staggering. Without being morbid its great that hes talking on outlets like car & classic and his own channel shed racing as its saving motor racing experience that we will never ever see again. Here's to a good few more years yet for Ivan as I know i'm not alone in thinking hes the real deal, end of the line engineer.
What an amazing man!! There are some people who draw you in with their passion for their interest, and you could spend days and days listening to them. Very few of these gents left now. Amazing. 😎👍🏻
What a top bloke, living the dream in his eighties, so many stories to tell and we’d love to listen to them.
An absolute national treasure, many thanks for this!!
Great stuff, and good for you for just letting him talk, and not needing to interject all the time.h
Ivan is such an interesting person I could listen to him all day every day! he's a highlight to my normal day here in Canada! Cheers!!
This guy is absolutely amazing. Everyone. Sucks up to the modern day drivers and yet this man has done more in his life than most other people. What a story, plus to race those cars you have to have part of your brain removed! Absolutely love this guy!
Thank you for showcasing Ivan. Shed Racing has become my second favorite KZread channel. An interesting follow up would be to get to know his long-time trusted “silent” partner John. He’s quiet but really knows his stuff and is a master fabricator.
Captain Beakey and his band not heard that in years.
I'm a late in finding the Shed Racing YT channel. It's nice to know Ivan's 'motoring roots' so to speak. Thank you for the warm introduction.
Great to hear Ivan is another fan of the Ducati Cucciolo, I have two runners from 1949, great engines four stroke with external pull rod valves👍
What a fascinating man, will we ever see his like again?
Thanks for this. If Ivan can slide around Brands Hatch in the rain with an international racing license in his early 80’s I’m sure he will give us many more years of entertainment.
what a lovely chap
New subscriber so I must complement you on a fabulous addition to your wonderful collection, its truly inspirational that you have this fantastic chap on your channel as sadly to many people in this day and age are wanting click content and it all about them so this is a refreshing change and a huge well done to you. I am really looking forward to you bringing us more regular shows and updates on the car restoration.
Ivan is a national hero. His knowledge and ability to restore and keep cars running is amazing; not to mention his achievements as a driver. It must have been hard to keep to a two part interview, I know I could watch all day.
I would love to hang out in Ivans garage, just .... doing stuff 😍
can I hear a ultra sonic cleaner in the background 😁
Ivan is a one off, there are not many about with his wealth of knowledge and experience not to mention his fantastic sense of humour.
