I have the Perdix Ai and when I updated the firmware recently it gave me not all but several of those upgrades, given it's capable of most all of the same functions I think I'll stick with it. Shearwater makes amazing computers. I also have the petral on my ccr Prism2. Funny the perdix was my first dive computer, I used a watch and a pressure gauge for 15 years of OC diving.

The vibrating alarm is a long overdue and valuable upgrade in my view
Hi, I currently use a Peregrine and I am looking to update to the Perdix line (hopefully my last computer). I am trying to decide between Perdix AI and Perdix 2. Aside from better vibration, sharper colors, stronger glass etc., is there anything functionally that the Perdix 2 allows me to do that the Perdix AI doesn't?
Will this work with the original Shearwater transmitter I’m using with my Perdix AI or do I need to get the Swift too? Thanks! Edit: Never mind you answered at the end of the video, so thanks for being thorough. Wish the Shearwater website mentioned it on the Perdix 2 info page.

They sure will!
I just bought a new Black Perdix 2 Ti & Swift Transmitter for $1,465.00
What was the other battery that you mentioned in addition to the Lithiums which give you up to 100 hours.

The Saft LS14500 will give you 130 hours but you will lose the vibration alarm. The 1.5v energizer lithium battery will give you 60 hours and keep the vibration alarm.. Another alternative is the 3.7v Li-Ion 14500 rechargeable battery that will give you 35 hours and it will keep all functions
Does the compass shows the opposite direction, like other computers built in compasses or a traditional compass?

Hello Tim, can you advise the differences between the Perdix AI and the Perdix 2 please.

Perdix 2 has the titanium bezel, hardened glass screen, vibration alarms, and the display (maybe due to the new glass) is easier to read / crisper than the Perdix ai

@@Diverightinscuba On their website Shearwater says the Perdix 2 has "enhanced colour range" and on the full comparison chart it seems to indicate that there is "no vibration support" for alkaline or Saft batteries, just Lithium 1.5V batteries. I was just wondering if you would give us any clarification or further info on these things when you get a minute?

@@Diverightinscuba please post the differences in the video description so that others may easily find it 🏁 that’s the first place I looked and was surprised not to see it. Had to wade through comments to find it :/
Will a 14500 battery fit in place of a regular AA?
