ABOUT ME
I’m 32 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city (something I still do) and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 850 breeding ewes.
I shore over 19,000 sheep this season in the UK and have my own shearing run which lets you see many different farms in the summer months.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on KZread and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.

A sheep that can tell the weather. We all need one. Absolutely beautiful sheep. Your the best Cammy. Such a hard worker.👍🇺🇸💕🙏🐑🐑
The sheep look like they all tell a really good bedtime story, I don't know how to explain.. but that's what I see in their lil faces!
Brilliant Cammy , loved the ending 😂

I did wonder why y'all wear moccasins when shearing, and now I know. Absolutely beautiful sheep, simply amazing fleece.
Those are beautiful sheep! Wow!! Great ending!
Great video Cammy laughing my head off at the ending 👌🤣🤣🤣
Those sheep are beautiful to me. I love the coloring and markings on the skin. Their bodies look in great shape as well.
The colouring on those sheep was beautiful.
God, if anything like our bunk rooms in for a smelly, loud night there! 😆 Thanks for the video Cammy.

It's so neat that the wether can smell when bad weather is coming. Love the video. Thanks, Cammy!
The last word hello guys was so funny 🤣🤣🤣🇺🇬🇺🇬🙏
Oh Cammy....that ending was priceless 🤣
Beautiful sheep and I loved the horses too. Always nice to see you have fun no matter where you are. Liked seeing the landscape.
Great video Cammy! That wether had such a beautiful pattern-never seen anything like it. You have guts drinking pea and cabbage beer! Haha ! Never know how a different culture is going to furnish their guests room!
Brilliant as per Cammy, great view on Drone, with Icelandic Ponies on their natural terrain. . Those sheep look good 👍 Can't wait for part 2.
Classic Cammy humour in the last clip. Hilarious.
What an adventurer you are, thanks for taking us along. Looks like a beautiful place. 😊

Sandi Brock's (of Sheepishly Me) daughter Jess, just vacationed in Iceland. She said the place is beautiful!
Fun at the job is a must!!!😂😂 Beautiful sheep! Love to see different sheep breeds and beautiful landscapes! Thank You for taking this American around to places I will never go!
Icelandic wool is my favorite wool to rug hook with. I order it directly from Iceland when they have a sale. Beautiful job shearing!
Love the video. The ending was the cherry on top.
The modern professional electric shears were created from the design of the early dental drill design. It has been adapted to many industrial tools but the shearing machines are the most widely used.
Love this! We raise Icelandic sheep in BC, Canada and I would love to go see the sheep in Iceland some day.
Never lose your sense of humor, Cammy! 😁 Good day’s work, beautiful sheep and new friendships. 🍻
I’ve always thought of shearing sheep in spring, then it has enough time to have wool for winter. But Icelandic get sheared 2x a year. As a primitive breed they actually shed their wool in spring April/May. You can roo the sheep, pull the fleece off, or shear before it breaks to avoid a second cut fleece. The second cut in late fall, November, is to make room in the Icelandic barns for all the sheep to live together for winter and for growing tummies as the pregnant ewes expand. It’s amazing once you shear them how much more room there is at the feeding trough for them all to eat at once. I’m glad shepherds and the Icelandic Government have decided to preserve the leader sheep, they are a national treasure. 🎉
FFS Cammy, that ending was something else 🤣🤣, cracking looking sheep though
So you went for a sheering masterclass all the way to Iceland, drank pee beer end ended up with your mate in one tiny bed, eey? I laughed so hard at the ending, I almost peed myself (pun intended) 😅 Great vlog, Cammie! Huge sheep also and fantastic drone footage! The horse breed Islandic is my favorite. They are sweet and tough.
The ending was hysterical...and then Stu pops up and says 'night' - omg!!! hahahahahahhahaha
Bloody hilarious ending... Fascinating sheep and nice people 😊
Cammy I loved the markings on that first big sheep you sheared. You’re like two school boys on a school trip…You’re some boy!!❤️🤣❤️
😂😂😂 Not sure if 'good craic' is appropriate but it sure was funny!! The sheep were amazing too - the way their wool is patterned is spectacular.
Beautiful sheep and hysterical ending!
Absolutely brilliant…I have to admit I pee’d a little laughing at the end🤣🤣🤣. Y’all totally had me laughing so hard at 4 am in the morning with tears rolling down my face that I woke up everyone in the house still sleeping. Here in middle Georgia 🍑 USA!! Absolute cracking video as always Cammy…much ♥️

Absolutely love the opening scenes with the Icelandic horses and scenery. The sheep are beautiful as well of course. And you! Hysterically funny there at the end, just your up-beat self. Love the haircut on you, too! Wild.
Such pretty sheep. So satisfying to watch. Iceland is beautiful.
ok, giggling here...the hyper lapse, look at them all on their phones LMFAO !!! It's like an American road work crew, 1 guy working, 6 standing around chatting lol. Okay, enough fun !
My sister is a textile artist and buys plenty of wool from Scotland. She spins beautiful yarns from it. The speed at which you work is quite impressive. Enjoyed watching your video from my home in San Jose, California, USA.
You're always having such fun, I envy you guys!
Absolute quality that ending 👏🏻👏🏻😂
You are so careful, it's delightful to see. Great job Cammi!
I love your content and your sense of humor. I'd love to visit Iceland but I'm sure I won't so I'm happy to travel there thru your videos. Thank you and I pray all is well with your growing family. ❤️
I really, really enjoyed watching this. Didn't even know these breed of sheep existed and they are super stocky! Beautiful. Also enjoyed seeing the ponies. So curious.
Lol.... You boys look cozy! This was fantastic.... So cool to see different kinds of sheep and watch you travel around sharing the life style. The Icelandic ponies were pretty nice too.
Beautiful sheep, great place . Brilliant job. You two guys are like two giggley litte boys. Lots of hard work, I'd like to live there . Fun video .
Great video, hilarious ending!! We went to Iceland in August 2021, fantastic natural beauty of the land, great food, and very friendly people. Icelandic horses very prevalent. They collect pregnant mare serum and use it in the pharmaceutical industry. Thanks again for another great video!
Grand job shearing …as usual , you made it look so easy
Thank you Cammy, i really appreciate a shearing video about Icelandic sheep. Lovely! 😊
You are the best Cammy. 😁😂👍👍❤️ Those are some great looking sheep ❤️
Fascinating patterns on the sheep's bodies.
Classic ending 😂😂! Love watching ya from Michigan 🇺🇸
So nice to broaden your horizons... beautiful sheep.
I loved my trips to Iceland. Still a wild wasteland.
What a beautiful adventure! Thanks for bringing us along.
Good laugh at the end. Don't tell Lizzy. Also liked the young lad behind Cammy when he was shearing the wether, he was rolling in the wool from a previous shear, settling in for a nap.
Tight space to sheer. Incredible sheep. Your back is going to feel it. Thanks for sharing
Never had any interest in sheep just sucker cows and cattle. But now I’m hooked.
What gorgeous sheep and what hilarious lads! 🤣
Great video Cammy, little bit of everything!, even comedy and blooper!!😂😂😂 Iceland is a beautiful place to visit and it's people do remind me of the Scottish. Thanks for filming your visit for us,👍🏻🐑❤.
I’m fascinated by the geology there. I’m absolutely dying to get my hands on one of those fleeces to spin! Under there the sheep are such a beautiful black luster. Fun travels. Question, are you there to learn, teach or just work? Stay well Cammy! Omg! The ending. I’m crying!

Hi Cammy, very beautiful sites. The sheep are amazing looking. What a handful to shear and huge. Thanks for taking us there. What a fun ending. 🤣 Take care and stay safe. ❤️ ❤❤❤
Nice sheep and ponies, great ending 😂😂
For a minute I thought the red emblem on your moccasins was blood. Thought you'd knicked something on that whether! Was feeling so bad for you injuring the first one you sheared! 😆 You are such a preformer! And your shenanigans are infectious and everyone wants to get into the act. Such great entertainment!

After removing the wool their bodies just glisten. They are beautiful.

That is the most beautiful black and white wool! Would love some natural yarn!!
Brilliant! That ending was epic lol
Nice speckled sheep Thank you for the video
So much fun to watch you and Stu have so much fun. The Icelandic sheep I've seen here are nowhere near the quality of the sheep you're shearing. Lovely breeding program, there. Great video as always!
The kid under the fleece is adorable
Just love the ending brilliant
Good Stuff Cam, Iceland on my bucket list so thanks for the insight, good looking sheep .
Great video loved the ending 😂
I like your haircut … the sheep’s too!
Always interesting❣️very funny😝

Great video Cammy, loved the ending 😂
That was priceless you are the best.
One of your best videos yet 😂👍
You guys are hilarious, have a good experience. cheers
Icelandic Horses ❤️❤️❤️❤️🐎
Reminds me of a Morecambe and Wise comedy sketch at the end. Nothing like a working holiday with a bit of education thrown in.
That wool looks so soft
Sounds like a spectacular breed😀
You kept the ponies entertained.what do they use them for. Grand job of shearing Cammie as usual and a change of scenery for you
@lorlorslinger9617

They're Icelandic horses (anyone that's dealt with them will tell you that they're definitely not ponies). They're used for riding, they're 'gaited' (like a Tennessee Walking Horse) & they're famed for their tolt gait.
Hahahaha your a nut Cammy! Those were beautiful sheep!
That's some rough looking country. The sheep are in great shape though. They certainly look bigger then the Icelandics that I've shorn over here in Canada. I've always thought its neat that a shearer can travel almost anywhere in this world and find work.
