Giving her a pass by saying she was controlled or 'groomed' as they say now. She is an adult and made those decisions and choices herself.

Although she looked like an adult ! She may have been a child in her mind.😊 .
She did what she did because she wanted to. She was obsessed with Brady and desperate for his love. She didn't care who suffered to be with him.

Exactly what I was thinking also..
Have you gone mad? Myra gets NO PASS ON ANY OF IT! Please don’t.

It's not about giving a pass, it's about understanding the dynamics of relationships like theirs so we can spot the patterns and prevent future repeats of their atrocities. Understanding is not excusing
I could listen all day to this experienced woman ....she needs her own show

She does. This is one of the episodes!
She stayed in prison because she was a murderer.
I think Mya would have been a child abuser with neglect as well.
I’m interested in professionals’ perspectives on how Myra sank so low into depravity and if it might prevent another child death. Excuses aren’t the goal.
No one can make you do anything you don't want to do unless it's done by force of gun point other than that she did this entirely on her on🤔no exceptions... smdh

I disagree, people in war torn countries can be forced to commit atrocities and have been forced many times. Child soldiers are basically forced at gunpoint or shot themselves for example. Others can be influenced into it, is that because they have a darkness in them to begin with or is it all manipulation? Without studying people like Hindley and Brady we wouldn't know.

Oops sorry just re read your comment but my point still stands. People can be manipulated and understanding why and how is vital to helping spot the patterns in other offenders. Manson, cults, the moors murderers, Fred and Rose West. All of them help psychiatrists, criminologists, behavioural scientists and police to apprehend criminals and prevent further crimes

@@amyme4066 ma'am I am in law enforcement and there's no patterns in this woman's behavior... she's an adult that knows wrong from right she's not a venerable adult she was obsessed and would have done anything for this man no matter what.. I've been doing this a long time and I can spot when a perpetrator is under the influence of a "manipulating' partner male or female.... smfh 😏🙄

@sharrielee911 and how would anyone know unless she was studied? I'm positive Rose West wasn't manipulated at all and pretty sure Myra Hindley wasn't either but they still need to study her. It isn't an excuse for the behaviour, just seeking to understand. From a psychological standpoint she doesn't seem to be a victim but she also doesn't seem to have any history of being an abuser prior to Brady so what led to it? Being obsessed with someone doesn't override your basic nature so what indicators were there? Again, studying her and their relationship is not the same as making excuses for her by any stretch. She deserved every second of her sentence and I hope it was as unpleasant as possible for her. Just because you're in law enforcement doesn't mean you are an expert in criminology or behavioural sciences by the way. Especially when relating to a case you weren't involved in.
So sad
