I love when you help your sister. You guys are so funny. Glad to hear she is losing weight. Good for her. Sherri did a great job decluttering.

Before you put anything back please get some doors for the closet. That will help with her vision of clean and tidy and calming. Also it leaves less space to pile things as opossed to the curtains.

I kinda like the drama of the curtains and they match the bed that matches the art. I can imagine Sherri snatching open those curtains and deciding just how fabulous she is going to dress for the day.

I'm stuck in an apartment that won't take up old carpet and I am so over it! That is my weekend project (again) cleaning the stupid carpet. If I have a choice never again

I think if she organise her clothing by colour she will have the idea of the amount of each colour clothing she has. She is very sweet person. You both are.

Just getting rid of the carpet is an upgrade. Always a reminder why I don’t want carpet knowing what’s in them. She’s going to feel so much better in a fresh room. ❤ Wonderful watching you two, interact as only sisters can. 😂 💕

I cannot stand carpet

I'm so excited for Sherry to get her dream room. Can't wait for her to have a beautiful space.

The upstairs neighbors had a fire recently. We had to remove everything from both of our kids' rooms so the contractors could rip out their ceilings. It was a great chance to do a major declutter of the kids' belongings. After all the construction is done and they can move everything back in, we will do another pass through of their items. I call it a blessing in disguise.

The eye roll at the end sums up me and my sister's entire relationship 🤣. I am so happy for her! Love you two together.

Wow 😍😍 you can tell this is her second pass and she has been paying attention to what fits, what feels good etc. super satisfying to see! I think replacing the curtains with doors will give her a much cleaner look, maybe installing wire shelves or a smaller drawer set inside the right wing too. Excited for what's coming! 🥰

I really admire your sister's commitment to this process. I've been working with my mother on decluttering her home for the last 20 years.

Suggestion: take one of the closet curtains to a paint store and have them mix that color into white paint to whatever degree and depth of color you want the walls to be. It’s amazing how everything pulls together when you have a few drops of the intense color mixed in with white!

You can feel the love when you and your sister make each other laugh ❤

I’ve never thought consciously about how I want my home to feel. Giving it some thought I strive to make my home welcoming, comfortable, organized, and tidy. I so enjoy you sharing Sheri with us.

I wonder if those curtains stay open most of the time… Are they really needed?? The headboard for the bed is so big that it is indeed hard to hang paintings in an attractive way…. Just wondering… But, Shari, you will love love the hardwood floors. What a nice project! But you will want to show off all that nice wood by having more floor space showing….

That’s a huge bed for one woman. I know things are bigger in America but she would have much more space if she treated herself to a new smaller bed and mattress.

If any of you have not seen the whole “Sister Sherri Series” you have to go back and watch them all from the beginning and you will completely see what I am talking about. Sherri literally let you declutter a box and…she’s decluttering even more. This is exactly what happens every time you declutter. You come to slow realizations about what really matters in your life. Time becomes far more valuable and we realize how important having less frees up our time. Time to do nothing or something that doesn’t involve upkeep of things. According to Wiki, popcorn ceilings were used to give ceilings texture and also for sound-deadening properties. Originally popular in bedrooms and apartment hallways. Your questioning it made me look into it. 😂

My parents home had them and they had gold sparkles in them. My home has textured ceilings. Neither bothered me. I actually liked the gold sparkles. 😅

I had all the popcorn ceilings removed after 30 years in our home. You can't clean it. The popcorn covered up bad construction in some areas. My poor contractor had to redo several door frames. I don't miss the popcorn at all. It's horrible.

Amazing to see so many clothes for the chop after you did a big declutter done months ago. Just goes to show that regular passes are a good idea. I hope your sister will bring back much less into the room, it’s still so full.

Redecorating (and moving!) is certainly GREAT motivation for getting rid of all the stuff we don't need! Congratulations on the weight loss too!

My late in-laws house had a popcorn ceiling. They were very popular at one time because they supposedly hid cracks and were for sound dampening. When we were fixing up their house to sell after they died there was a big crack across the ceiling so I found all kinds of inconspicuous spots to pick off some little popcorns, and then I stood on the ladder and individually glued little popcorns onto the crack. It turned out pretty good.
