My reaction to Season 1 Episode 3 of The Glory 더 글로리 . There's so many easily missable details in this show, and I'm starting to realize how much information is just flying over my head. So we learn that Yeon-jin's daughter isn't actually the legitimate daughter of her husband, but came out of her affair instead. With Dong-eun getting proof for all these details, I love how she's already not even hiding her revenge quest anymore and just straight up provoking Yeon-jin.

The principal you were referring to is actually the Director of the School Board. The lady that Dong-Eun is working with used to be the maid for this Director. This is why she was able to know that Dong-Eun was sifting through the Director's garbage at his residence for 6months. With this blackmail, Yeon-Jin wouldn't be able to have Dong-Eun removed from the class (with money...etc). If Yeon-Jin tried to transfer Ye-Sol to another school, Dong-Eun would easily be able to follow.

I got lost a bit here. Where they implying that Dong eun blackmailed the school board director because he is having an affair with his Male driver and will give him the inheritance instead of his kids and daughter in law?

"...you never get an emotional reaction from her, I wonder why she is so reluctant..." That's a valid question. From my own experience I can say that when certain things happen to you in your youth/childhood, and no one helps you or defends you - not even your own family - then you lose all trust you ever had in anyone. And this feeling follows you into your adulthood. I've been severely bullied in school for seven years and I grew up in an abusive/toxic home so I learned very early on that there is no one you can fully trust. Today I'm able to be cheerful and happy around people but that's only a facade. Only on the outside. On the inside I'm ALWAYS wary and super cautious and I never tell anyone too much about me. It's rather the opposite: I'm a good listener and after a conversation I know everything about the other person, but that person doesn't know a single thing about me. And I honestly prefer it that way. Bullying, neglect, emotional and physical violence can damage a human being to a huge degree and it stays with them for life.

I'm sorry to hear that! Yeah I can totally understand in a situation like that that you'd be hiding your real emotions or finding some coping mechanism just like Dong-eun is afraid to show her emotions. Without having seen the reaction back though, I feel like I probably did catch on to that a little later perhaps even in this episode already. Usually I ask these questions already feeling like I understand the answer but not quite wanting to say it yet until I'm certain.

No one should go through that. I hope you can move on n make valuable connections worth the effort when the opportunity comes. If Dong Eun can do it, so can you

Many questions are resolved one by one as the session progresses. Scene by scene, no unnecessary scenes. So you have to remember it well. Moon Dong-eun intentionally approached and became close to her homeroom teacher's son when she was in high school. To get revenge on the homeroom teacher who stood by the school violence and assaulted Moon Dong-eun. (In episode 1, there is a conversation between Dong-eun and the homeroom teacher that the homeroom teacher's son went to the University of Education. Anyway, Dong-eun was going to go to the University of Education to become a school teacher.)

Please shut the fuck up about pushing LGBT shows. 1) there aren’t that many, they are just prominent because they are new and American producers aren’t living in fear anymore and for every 100 show with straight ppl, you get 1 with someone lgbt but you still whine about it like a child. 2) many shows will have murder, mayhem, torture, executions, cheating bullying, violence, rape and assault which you enjoy but you bulk at LGBT with loving relationships? You’re deep down an asshole 3) Korean shows are highly restrictive in human sexuality stories even for straight ppl which isn’t healthy but will show you heavy violence like it’s normal for the human psyche and you don’t flinch. Sadistic and unnatural to enjoy this no? Borderline psychopathic tendencies.
