"She's A HYPOCRITE!" - Post Office Boss Paula Vennells In Tears Over Scandal Inquiry

The son of wrongly-convicted subpostmaster Varchas Patel has called Paula Vennells a "hypocrite", as the ex-Post Office boss faces her second day of questioning.
"The Post Office and Government spent nearly £100m trying to ruin Alan Bates and the group!"
Former Post Office boss Paula Vennells has broken her almost decade-long silence on the Horizon scandal as she was quizzed on how things unfolded on her watch.
During her evidence to the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry, Ms Vennells cut an emotional figure as she broke down twice under questioning from counsel to the inquiry Jason Beer KC.

The wrongdoings of Mrs Vanells go beyond causing an injury in the course of her duties to a single person, on one occasion. Mrs Vennells has used her position to T E R R O R I S E the British public. single occasion -

100m to cover-up the biggest scandal, and the enquiry ongoing will add further cost and STILL the PO will have to pay out compensation at probably double the rate it would have done 10 years ago, due to kicking the can down the road for many years. Honesty is the best policy, but does not pay bonusses for doing the right thing. To add to the bill, the Met will kick off criminal prosecutions soon, so the taxpayer will rend up covering even more debt. The Vennells-Bogert conspiracy, including the minor players in this cover up should end up delivering letters in clink.

Where did the alledgedly stolen money actually go? It did not go to the accused postmasters. Did it go to people working for Fujitsu? Did it go to the post office gangsters that bullied the postmasters into plea bargaining? Did it go to finance the bonuses of the post office directors themselves? Money does not just disappear.

They should open the Post Office up to competition. It is a public disgrace stuffed full of overpayed, arrogant staff. Not only are we grossly overcharged for their monopolistic services it looks like the taxpayer will be picking up a multi billion pound bill to quite rightly compensate these people who were treated so appallingly. These incompetent executives should be in jail but the way things seem to work in this screwed up country they will be left to live a life of luxury having screwed up the lives of innocent, hard-working people.

“Sorry I can’t recall. I’m really sorry you’ll have to take me at face value, I can’t recall”. But strange that even around 15 or 20 years ago, and my memory does fail me from time to time, I always remember the things I did then and the reasons and circumstances around those from which I made my decisions. Every. Single. Time. I was a junior manager of a small SME. That was pretty insignificant. And she was the CEO of a major national enterprise. She knows every single time, she knows and she’s a horrible lying lizard. 🦎

Yes - You may be interested to know that there is a special record of (‘log’) keystrokes held by Fujitsu - It is very easy - (if time consuming) - for computer programmers to actually go through every key stroke entered by the SPM at about the time of the alleged misappropriation of large amounts of funds - This is decisive because there is no suggestion of irregularities in CASH held at any of these branches. Thus if the record (“log”, as the call it) of keystrokes made on the computer terminal does not indicate a transfer or withdrawal of funds - (via the ‘terminal’) - then there cannot have been any misappropriation of funds by the SPM.

Psychopaths are very cunning and crafty. Paula Vennells knows exactly what she's doing, using manipulation and deflecting responsibility off herself and rather unto others. Every move is calculated, planned, manipulated, and controlled. You see her doing this over and over again in the Inquiry. She's a master chess player in this exercise. Let's hope Sir Wyn will checkmate her.

A CEO must have had almost weekly view of budget expenditure of every department. A security / legal department with at least 100 staff , plus external law firms is a huge expense. Hundreds of millions per year i would guess. What was the ROI on such a department? Was the post office recovering all this ? If it was not ... What was the point ?

Her presentation is of someone with profound antisocial personality disorder. Completely without empathy for those she tortured, but tears for her own situation (entirely of her own making, due to absolute self-righteous, entitled arrogance over the many years she was in charge). She failed in oversight of the organisation, she has insinuated others kept her in the dark, thus potentially throwing them under the bus - and she still gives a strong impression that the suffering she caused to ordinary, hardworking people was accidental and had little to do with her negligence and wilful doubling down in the face of clear evidence Horizon wasn't fit for purpose.

I am continually impressed by how the victims and the victims’ families- such as the chap being interviewed here, despite the appalling, unspeakable criminal experiences they have experienced, carry themselves with such dignity, clarity, and respect, and reasonableness, unlike the people who were involved in perpetrating these crimes, who have been questioned at the inquiry who all carry the themselves with a complete lack of dignity, compassion, truthfulness. I hope the cps engage and prosecute as many as they can. At the very least almost all of them have been involved in perverting the course of justice if nothing else. Indeed I can’t think of a single one I’ve heard being questioned (though I haven’t heard all)that didn’t clearly help pervert the course of justice.
